Lack of Locations in Wind Waker?
I like most of Wind Waker. I think it has good dungeons, music, and the sailing worked well.
However I think there were a lack of non-dungeon places to go on the great sea. The only large islands were Outset, which was fine, Windfall, which was a great city, Dragon Roost, which was good, and Forest Haven, which was not that great.
Most of the other things in the sea, such as the platforms and the reefs were not big enough to explore and kind of repetitive. Also the only ice area there was, was a teeny space inside one area.
It just felt like we got a huge world with hardly anything in it. Exploration has always been a part of Zelda and although this game is great, it just felt that there wasn't enough exploring of diverse areas, as most of the time you were just on the sea.
I really want to like this game more, but I can't get over the fact that there really isn't much in the game, and what there is, isn't very diverse.
