Well, funnily enough, I did consider that, but then "arguing ad nauseam with folks; each one of them had differing opinions in some way to those of mine" would have been over two verses, but the second half was a continuation of the sentence so that four line split didn't seem to work. I tend to put most of my poetry in a solid block these days, as opposed to verses, mainly for that reason; my style often has those sentences, split across lines, and in odd places. I'm sure there is a term for the literary device where a poet finishes a sentence and starts another in the same line as well, but for the life of me I can't think what that term is. If anyone knows, I'd be grateful if they'd let me know. I use that device a lot too.
