It is assumed by many that he has it due to Link (OoT) having gained the Triforce of Courage at some time in the past. Also he also has on occasion used his Trident to transform without the Triforce being mentioned.

As for Knocking back young Link, several non-demonic creatures managed to do so to Adult Link, it's not much of a feat.
