No, actually, I'm not.
Stereotypes do not hold great truths, they're a symptom of your cognitive systems cutting corners and generalising to save yourself some effort. Why should you have to exert yourself in the environment when you can just rely on sweeping generalisations? Everybody holds stereotypes, although I'd like to think that a significant proportion see them for what they are, and do not rely on them.
I suppose I shouldn't expect too much from an American though.
