Hmmm, I don't remember exactly how long it takes to beat it. If you play it pretty regularly [but not like...obsessively and nonstop] it should be a good week+ of fun for you at least.
There's one village, and a lot of little houses/people to talk to along the way. Some minor sidequests and stuff...definitely a lot more to do in between dungeons than the original LoZ. I believe there's something like 24 items in the game. And it has definite replay value. I've played it through like 5 times I think.
And I haven't beaten OoS or OoA yet, but I from what I understand OoS was originally going to be a remake of LoZ, but a lot better and with a lot more to do, meanwhile OoA was supposed to connect with it to add more quests, and there was going to be a third game too, but the third game got dropped. Then over time, OoS was changed quite a bit. So while it's still similar in the overworld map and has a lot of similar bosses to LoZ, it's way more complex and has a lot more to do.
