They are a pop-punk outfit with a really strong female vocalist. The music is pretty much driven by really strong guitar hooks and solid vocal melodies. They're worth checking out if that's what you're into, otherwise I can't reccomend them. You pretty much have to either like the style of music or be really really open-minded when it comes to pop music and be able to appreciate a good pop song.

I dig Paramore quite a bit, though I agree with Euphoria when I say that I think their debut album is better and has more staying power than Riot!, though it isn't a bad album in and of itself. I do hope they continue as a band, because if these are the songs they write when they are this young, then I can't wait to hear what they bring out as they continue to mature and gain experience.
