Whatever is marked ‘Cannot be used’ is just so. That weapon or skill cannot be used at all. It’s there to show how powerful this being was.

Weapons:
'Legion' -- The sword resembles a katana, but is significantly longer and almost as light. The blade itself is 5 feet long, while the handle is 1 foot long. The handle is wrapped with a black, rubbery like ribbon. At the end of the handle, is a cord made from the same material, this cord can extend to the vessels' wills, turning the sword into a dangerous, makeshift whip. When used as a whip-like weapon, the tip of the sword is always aimed at the opponent instead of the arc (like a flexible scythe), aiming to plunge the blade, no matter how the cord is swung. (If brought down from above, the tip will be aiming for the opponent’s head, if he dodges, then it will plant itself in the ground)
If the sword is destroyed or lost, it can be re-summoned without any sort of incantation or waiting period. If it is just broken, the sword regenerates itself in a few seconds. The sword also houses the vessels for when Chaos needs them. As such, the vessel that Chaos is using will have to summon the sword before switching bodies. The sword is rumored to carry the demon ‘Legion’ hence its name, and as a result, Chaos says ‘they’, ‘their’ or ‘them’ when referring to the sword.
‘Lorelei’ --
Cannot be used -- an eight foot long clockwork lance, summoned in the same way as Legion. The sharp tip of the lance revolves automatically and can grind through the toughest material. When the lance ‘tastes’ blood, the clockwork begins to move so fast that it can rip time itself.
Armour: None of the different bodies have any. Chaos’s true form has none either, the only defense it has in that form would be the Hell Butterflies circling around the eyes, which are the weakpoints.
Strengths: The vessels are possessed by Chaos, making them unusually faster and stronger than the average human. Each of the vessels have their strengths; Near is a natural born genius, he is extremely observant, Bliss can be extremely seductive, able to get information or something valuable out of almost anyone, while Ravier’s senses and speed are above par. The vessels cannot die, they are practically immortal, but they are not invincible; unbearable physical injuries may cause the vessel to ‘break’, forcing Chaos to resume its true form. Each (beside Ravier) can expertly wield Legion with almost no flaws, against almost any opponent.
Weaknesses: Chaos is weak to strong light or light/holy magic, which can instantly cause a vessel to ‘break’, revealing the true form. If the vessel is forced to resume its true form, its true weak point, the red eye, is exposed. If that eye is hit by another strong form of light magic or physical attack, Chaos will be temporarily defeated and will have to retreat from battle to recover, which may take a while depending on the type of attack and the damage it caused. In this state, it will still use its different bodies to move from place to place, but it will not be able to summon Legion to fight. When forced into its true form, Chaos has no attack or defense and is completely vulnerable.
Appearances:
Chaos' true form is a thick blanket of black, paper thin butterflies that is thick enough to block out the sun. The large eyes move freely around in this confusion, floating, rather than being held up by anything solid.

Magic/Skills: Chaos can use vessels of the three within Legion to change into either of them. The skills of the three vessels, however, can be accessed by Chaos when in one of them.
All vessels have the following three abilities, as a result of Chaos inhabiting the bodies:
Reaper of the World --
Cannot be used -- The ability to summon the Grim Reaper himself to fight alongside him. The Reaper is not a physical entity, only the scythe, thus, attacking the scythe would be the better course of action. Although, that would be tough, since both Reaper and Chaos would be on the move.
Burning Rose -- Cannot be used -- The vessel fires a large, destructive, red-coloured beam from the palm of his/her hand. It basically wipes out everything in its path, but takes some time (a few seconds) to prepare and cannot be aborted once it is fired.
Laughing Inferno -- Cannot be used -- Creates an illusion where the whole world is in flames, making it seem like the victim is the only one in the world. The flames seem to have faces, and they cackle instead of crackle.
Angel Fire -- Cannot be used -- A powerful white beam from the palm of the vessel’s hand that affects only angelic beings. It will not harm anything else, but will kill any angel that takes a direct hit. Or will injure the victim badly if he or she dodges, or is caught in the shockwave when the beam is fired.
Ashen Rose -- Cannot be used -- An expansion to the Negative Space ability (read lower down), turning it into a shockwave that douses all light in the area, which can cause the blackout of an entire city. It can also create an inky black cloud to cover the immediate area, effective against those who can see in the dark.
Kiss and Consume -- Cannot be used -- the ability to consume a soul, any soul, and store the body inside of Legion for later use. So far, only three have been consumed.
Chaotic Judgement -- Cannot be used -- After an amount of Hell butterflies are released, they can be sued to form a ‘cannon’ around the vessel’s arm. The cannon fires off large bursts of burning energy. The bullets fired do not stop until their target has been hit.
Rules of Detection: Chaos can naturally detect when other evil-doers are near, and how powerful they are. He can also detect other life-forms, but are unable to tell their level of power. They are like a ‘dot on the radar’, able only to tell where they are.
Mirrorbind: The ability to enter mirrors to heal severe injuries a little faster. When in the mirror, Chaos can control the reflection of the person looking into it. (ie, making the reflection grin at the crying person looking in the mirror, etc.)
Blight: When Chaos is in an area, this ability causes some sort of irritation nearby. Such as a sudden surge of cockroaches or vermin. Or there’ll be a sudden surge of ants. Or someone will get irritated and clumsy. What happens is actually random.
Charred Hell Butterflies/Negative Seize -- Can come out of his sleeves or back.
Each time the vessel gets a large cut, one of these comes out. The are fast and carnivorous, however, their little mouths can only cause pinpoint bites and their concealed claws can shred paper.
Shadow of Eyes -- Heals minor wounds, but in an odd way. When the vessel gets a minor injury that breaks the skin (so tiny cracks in bones and stuff like that are excluded), an open eye with a blue iris appears right in that spot, and will remain open until the wound heals naturally. When the eye closes, the wound will be fully healed. Yes, the eyes in the wounds do move and yes, the vessel (Chaos) can use them to see with. Damaging the eyes when they are open, reopens the wounds. The eyes will close and the wounds will heal faster when using Mirrorbind.
Corrupting Touch -- The ability to corrupt everything he touches (beside living flesh). It can cause dead bodies to rot faster, or turn water black and poisonous. If he touches a wall, it may look like the wall has grown a bunch of black veins under the paint. It can short out machines or cause metal to rust.
Negative Space: This ability is always constant. It is a ‘space’ of sorts that is always around him or her. The space basically negates light or controls (to a lesser degree) it. The ‘space’ can only negate small light sources (if a torch or any sort of light is brought near him, it will be instantly put out). The Negative Space can also control light to a small degree, allowing Chaos to bend light to render any single part of his/her own body invisible. He/She mostly uses it in battle to make the sword invisible, so the opponent would have a hard time defending. If a strong source of light is brought near him or her, Chaos will be forced into its true form. This space also prevents this from happening during the daytime.
Chaos Instinct: During the intense heat of battle, or when Chaos wishes to reveal its true, diabolical nature, this ability shows itself. The vessel Chaos is using becomes ruthless, almost outright insane and will harm *anyone* who might be near enough. The vessel’s strength, stamina and speed increases and becomes hell-bent on destroying the opponent, often sacrificing his or her own body to harm the opponent in any way possible. And will often become cannibalistic, biting opponents and ripping off and eating flesh.
Each vessel also has their own skill or magic, retained from when Chaos first consumed them:
Near Cronqvist:
Eidetic memory: Near was born with a photographic memory, he’s also very alert and observational, usually taking quiet note of a little detail that others may have passed over.
Innocence - Crown Clown: Cannot be used. See Near
Matthew Cronqvist’s profile for more information.
Bliss Renard:
Enchanting Presence: Like the ‘Negative Space’ this ability is constantly active. It makes most men and some ladies (who are…not exactly ‘straight’) pay utmost attention to her. If she flirts with two or more men (or ladies, as the case may be) at once, they begin to fight over her while she takes hardly any interest. She can use this to gain useful information without having to go through various lengths to obtain it.
Ravier:
Foresight: Ravier is able to see two seconds into the future. However, this is not always reliable, as he only sees
one thing that happens. (For example, if six meteors are falling, Ravier would only be able to see where only one lands)
Sword techniques:
Since Chaos has lost most of his abilities, it has to rely mostly on its sword skills to fight.
The main technique it uses is one called ‘Sword Rush’, which is based mostly on attacking first and fast, save for the Zetsugi (ultimate attack), which waits on the opponent’s attack. Other than that, it uses a thrust technique based on the Hirazuki (left handed stab), but it is much more potent.
~
Kicking Sword Rush -- Kicks the back of the blade as it is swung upward. The attack is so strong it can sever large tree-trunks and break through concrete walls with ease.
~
Spiral Pierce Sword Rush -- Blocks the opponent’s attack with the hilt of the sword and spins around his enemy’s defense on one foot, leaving a complete opening for the attacker to exploit. The attack is very similar to Rain’s Ryukansen (Dragon Spiral) and can be used to counter it.
~
Destructive Palm Sword Rush -- Like the ‘Kicking Sword Rush’, instead, the hand is used to push the blade when it is brought down. It can be used as a blocking technique, with the intent of breaking the opponent’s weapon.
~
Morning Sky Sword Rush -- A follow up to the ‘Destructive Palm’, where the sword has been stabbed into the ground. The wielder steps on the pommel and jumps into the air, while retrieving the sword from the ground by using the cord attached to the handle. This is followed by a whip-like slash at the enemy (be it overhead or wherever). This technique can be used to nullify attacks like Ryutsuisen and Ryushosen (Dragon’s Hammer and Dragon’s Flight, respectively).
~
Hammering Sword Rush -- After stabbing the opponent in a ‘stable’ area (like the chest or stomach), the attacker lifts the enemy in an arc over his head, slamming the opponent into the ground, as if he were the head of a hammer. This can be done repeatedly, until the sword comes loose, or the opponent escapes or gives in. The attack can be nullified by defending against the initial stab, or taking it to the arm or leg.
~
Battle Wind Sword Rush -- A spinning, upward attack, used to take out multiple enemies. The attacker ducks, possibly avoiding an attack and then rapidly spins with the sword out, while leaping upward, able to take out multiple surrounding enemies. If the attacker wills it, he can continue the spin while rushing toward the opponent, like a tornado with cutting wind.
~
Winter Fang Sword Rush -- The variation of the Hirazuki (left handed stab) mentioned earlier. A rushing thrust attack based on speed and power, dealt with the left hand (instead of the usual right), the user also grasps the pommel instead of the handle, extending the reach of the sword. The length of Legion makes this attack potent, and even if the opponent dodges slightly, a little body movement and the length of the blade can make up for it.
~
Crouching Tiger, Severing Sword Rush -- The Zetsugi (ultimate attack). Unlike the other moves, which has the wielder active by attacking or counterattacking, this attack waits for the opponent to move first, and reach dangerously close. The wielder holds the sword’s handle with two hands, (right hand holding from above, while the left hand holds underneath.
Image for reference) What happens next is almost impossible to describe, as the wielder concentrates on the opponent’s every move; every blink, every breath, and waits for the perfect time (like striking as soon as the opponent blinks). This attack is powerful, as the user concentrates all the force he can muster into a single, swift (invisible to the naked eye) blow. This can be used if the user is being drawn towards the opponent, (as with Rain’s Hirameki, during the second phase with the vacuum, which propels this attack instead of making the user unstable and open). However, since this is a single, powerful blow, if it misses, it leaves the attacker wide open for a counter-attack.
This attack can also be described in another, shorter way: The user puts up a ‘spherical barrier’ of sorts, with the length of the sword acting as the radius of the sphere. If one were to enter this barrier, then they would be cut down instantly (in most cases).
Personalities:
Each of the vessels have their own personality, but the single mind behind it (Chaos) remains the same. Chaos itself is ruthless, but it prefers deception and toying around, which is why it uses these vessels among people often playing along by helping them or being friendly. Chaos uses the vessels’ personality, prior to when they were consumed.
Near’s Personality: Near is a natural born genius, able to figure things out quickly. He isn’t usually curious, but he likes to learn new things. He is basically your happy-go-lucky character. Smiling and fun loving most of the time, Near is a friendly person. He’ll take friendly hits without attempting to dodge them, although he may be well aware that the attack is coming. He usually takes the backseat in battles, analytically breaking them down. If he is forced to fight, however, he will do so to the best of his ability; using the environment to fight, summoning Legion as a last resort or when the opponent ups their offense or defense.
Bliss’ Personality: Her attitude is basically one of a bored rich girl. Nothing usually interests her unless it’s valuable. Then she’ll use her abilities to get the item or information. She doesn’t really care what anyone else says about her, Bliss will just watch them with her sleepy eyes and half-smile until they’re finished. If they’re going on too long for her tastes, she’ll get up and walk away. Her bored little smile is almost always plastered onto her face. Bliss has a thing for irritating people, too, especially if someone is trying to tell her something. She’ll usually yawn or stretch right in front of the person’s face, showing them that she doesn’t care.
Ravier: Although
he can talk, Ravier doesn’t say anything most of the time, keeping with his wolf-like appearance. In order to get him to fight, you have to hit him first, then he’ll bite back hard, even if his opponent is a girl. Ravier keeps up his mysterious side, even if he reveals that he can talk, he will speak in riddles or answer questions with another question.

Biography:
When the world was created so long ago, there existed a garden, a peaceful paradise; Eden. And in this garden existed one man and one woman, who lived contentedly with all the animals and plants. But like every other Eden that would come after, it had its serpents. And soon, the woman and the man were cast out of the garden because they betrayed a single rule.
Chaos was looming then, waiting for the perfect moment. With its eight eyes, it saw everything that was happening. When the first murder occurred, Chaos was there, driving it all along. It watched the events unfold from the shadows, waiting, just waiting. The world was too peaceful, now. It would wait until something destructive started to happen, but for now, it would just bide its time and wait in the reflective surface of the water.
Waiting eventually got boring, after a few hundred years, this entity became extremely bored. It hungered for some sort of devastation, some sort of corruption. When it resumed its form for the hunt, it found that the reflective surface of the ocean it had settled in long ago had become part of a massive lake surrounded by forest.
The eight massive eyes, surrounded by the Charred Butterflies ventured through this forest, seeking out some civilization to wreak havoc on. Before long, the being was surrounded by a pack of abnormally large white wolves, which was lead by a single, blue-eyed one, which had detected the malicious presence.
The blue-eyed one spoke, telling Chaos that he is Ravier, the God and protector of this whole continent, which was made up of numerous expanses of forests.
He also told the being that such an evil presence was not allowed.
Without hesitation, Chaos consumed the God and stored the wolf-like body in one of his eight eyes.
As soon as that was done, the being known as Chaos was instantly summoned into the depths of hell by Lucifer himself. The God of the underworld, knowing what Chaos began to work side by side with it, spreading its influence everywhere, but subtly. Soon, wars broke out and famine wreaked havoc.
Lucifer granted the spear, Lorelei and the sword-demon, Legion, to Chaos, so that the being could join in on the fun. But first, it would need a proper body. Using Legion, which was now able to hold the body of the consumed, Chaos shape shifted its seemingly unstable form, turning itself into the large, blue-eyed wolf it had consumed long ago.
It approached a young, red-eyed girl called Bliss, who seemed to be entranced rather than frightened. Using this opportunity, the being consumed her soul and transformed into her. But this process was seen by two people, and insignificant couple with the surname ‘Seraph’. They were dealt with accordingly, beaten so badly that whoever found the pieces would assume that they had gone through some devilish shredding machine.
Chaos continued to join different wars and missions under Bliss’s appearance, often charming people into liking them while simultaneously preparing Legion to stab them in the back.
After a while, ongoing wars began to die down and Chaos moved from town to town, wreaking havoc under the name of Bliss. In one town, however, Chaos encountered a man who attempted to exorcise the vessel, but it was impossible, and Chaos consumed him as well, partly because it was interested in the man’s odd ‘Clown’ power that was used against it.
Chaos became Near Mathias Cronqvist.
And, using the name, it began wreaking havoc all over again, using the vessel’s memories and personality to gain various positions in the societies. Chaos soon established an ‘underground’ network of criminals to do his bidding, like pawns in a chess game, while keeping up being human ‘on the surface’, joining in different schools and colleges as a teacher. After a while, it encountered several powerful beings that would help him recreate the chaos of the previous days.
But it also learned from those beings that there were several ‘dots on the radar’ that would stop them dead cold in their tracks if they were to attempt anything. Chaos, confident that it was powerful enough, took on the task of finding these individuals, using the large network that it had created.
But it was hasty when it came to planning. That was the main fault that it made, allowing those individuals to exploit his weaknesses. To bide time once more while it planned, it led these individuals through a spiral of a events around the world, also setting off events that made them stronger in number and also having its main pain in the ass grow stronger because of its hasty action and close calls.
Reaching the end of the spiral, Chaos found that his opposition was still able to fend him off for an extended amount of time. When this had happened, Destiny herself attacked, giving up half of her powers for one chance, sealing away Chaos’s more powerful magic and blinding seven of its eight eyes, putting it on even ground. With the sudden loss of its powers, it was thoroughly defeated. It retreated and began biding its time again, still able to walk around in its vessels, but unable to fight for a while.
“This…is Eden.” Chaos grinned menacingly.
And like all the Edens that came before, this one was not without its serpents.
