obviously a chair.
4 legs - the chair is sitting in a normal position.
2 legs - someone is leaning forward on the chair, only two of the legs are touching the ground.
2 legs - this person is leaning back on their chair now, using the other two legs of the chair.
3 legs - The chair cannot take the strain and a leg breaks off, leaving it with three legs.
No legs - since the chair is broken, it is useless and thus burned for firewood. No legs (or chair) remain.
