Re: End of an Era? (Ti-Link)
OoC: I poked you once, you big baby. XP
BiC:
The predicted roar of voices that filled the evening air in the streets of Queenstown was of smaller proportion then he had thought it would be. Due to its considerable size from a distance, he predicted that there would be more people roaming the streets.
Perhaps it was just late for the citizens. Nevertheless, it was about time Vitros tried to settle in. His body was exhausted, even though his will to continue on burned deep inside his legs in the form of pain. You would expect nothing less from walking for two days straight, for the warrior had yet to sleep. That was one thing about Vitros no one could understand. If he did not want to do something, he simply would not do it. Unless of course he were given no way around whatever he was to avoid.
Seemingly today, that trait would be put to the test.
As the dim lights of posts around the stone street slowly passed the warrior, his eyes wandered for a building worthy of a night's rest. However, his eye was paused in the middle of a switch between the left of the street to the right, by the dark shadow of many figures in the distance casting upon his feet. Unnoticingly activating his eye to see farther, he could see the figures blocking his path, were a pack of mere men. Four, to be exact. The figures seemed to be between the ages of 20 to 30, one of which had a bottle clung to his right hand.
Strangly, all the men seemed to have a problem with...not swaying back and forth as they surrounded the still warrior. There was no doubt in Vitros' mind.
They were drunks.
One man from behind the warrior spoke in a slurred voice. "Lookie here...a wise guy!" the man yelled as he took a swig of his bottle.
Another man became within arms reach of Vitros' left shoulder and gave the mage an intimidating shove. "Heeeeh. Smart ass. Doesn't even have his staff with him."
Two from the warrior's front and right started to shove him as well, the warrior not moving much at all. "Are...you stupid!" he replied to his friend. "I bet he doesn't even-," before the man could finish, a burp escaped his mouth. "...have one!"
The men started to look the warrior over with their eyes, seeming looking for what they thought he should've already had. One man blurted out from behind him. "Whure's yowr staff idiot?"
The warrior raised an eyebrow without them able to probably see. He had a staff, it was just hidden into his clothing. Could these people mean something else? Vitros decided not to take a chance. "I'm sorry. I do not know what you are talking about," Vitros replied completely mono-toned.
To his surprise, every man surrounding him laughed. Laughing? Why would they laugh at me?
Suddenly, a rather powerful force jolted Vitros' back, causing him to sway a little forward before turning around to face three of the men, the other rather obviously trying to sneak behind the warrior. "Don't play dumb **** with us! Evwyone knuws abowt thems laws of magycs!" The man with the bottle placed his drink on the ground before clumsingly digging into his cloak and pulling out what seemed to be a crystal staff. "Yows haves to hawvs one of dees to do magycs wit!," he man said as the staff started to glow an irregular ray of colors.
The man who had done all his work to get behind Vitros, now blurted out after pulling out what looked to be a wand. "Heys! Iwf dis..dudad doesn't haf a thingy...lets kics his ass!" the man slurred as he pointed the tip of his wand at the warrior, the tip not exactly able to keep straightly pointed at him.
The men all busted out laughing as the rest pulled out the same crystal staff as the first man, now all pointed at the warrior with magic glows. "Hey! Wets sees if I cun get a cigarette buwrn on him lyke I did on yooou!" he man blurted to another as his staff turned a bright red.
Without moving, and after a small chant from the drunk; the staff hurled a controled blast of fire at his head. With a simple thought, water from a nearby gutter flashed with light, purifying it, as well as causing it to shield between Vitros and the on-coming blast and freezing as the fire blast smacks the ice wall, but only causes a black mark to appear on the wall.
The men seemingly amazed by the speed of the water, they stood eyes wide as the warrior turned to face them, them now being close together. "I would not like to be forced to fight you back. Please stop your foolish acts."
The man who earlier had the bottle now stood with his staff pointed at the warrior. "HOws the hell didjya do thatswithout a staff??" the man asked as a chant escaped his lips, as yet another fire blast was sent soaring toward Vitros. This time, the warrior had had enough.
Ducking just low enough for the blast to miss, two tiny ice divots in the ground appeared behind his feet as he pushed off them and punched the man directly in the stomach. Conjuring an ice pillar to hit the man in the back, the drunk was sent flying through the air and through a nearby window of an unknown building.
For the most part, Vitros didn't even notice the shattered glass as he faced the other three drunks, all of which now huddled together and pointing with their staffs and wands. "Do you just want me to hurt you? Because I will happily help out with that."
