With an invisible flash of light, masked by magic to keep from drawing any attention to it, a six foot tall man dressed in gray appeared. Temporarily veiled with magic, he looked around to find himself in a strange metal building of some sort. A circle of the floor beneath him was charred black, burnt with powerful transportation magic. The veil slowly slipped away when nobody was looking at him, and he was now fully visible. He hid the little red ruby he was holding in one of his several pockets, and began to explore this new environment.
He soon thought he heard voices nearby, and walked into a most interesting room. It was what appeared to be a bar; but through the windows he could see a lake scene, surrounded by trees and such.
An indoor lake? Kartaikian thought to himself. Interesting. He looked around at the other people there cautiously, and found an empty table to sit at, away from everyone else.
With an explosion of light, Atropos flew through a teleporter, and crashed against the opposite wall. Dazed and confused, she got up off the ground and looked around.
"Where the heck am I?" she said out loud to herself. She found a window and could see into empty outer space through it. "Oooo, space! Wait, what, how?" she banged her fist against the window a couple times, but it was pretty strong glass and didn't break. She started to run down the hall, and soon found herself in a room with several other people.
Surprised for a moment, she telekinetically flipped over all the tables and chairs in the room, knocking anyone who was sitting in one onto the floor. She stood up straight and blinked a couple times, then found a corner of the room to sit down in and watch the people carefully.
