"Not very creative, are you?" the ice innate asked as he held his hand up and stopped the needles of ice with a smile. Well, tried, is the better thought to that, since the smaller needles slowed down, but didn't fully stop. "Annoying," the ice mage muttered as he swung his hand and tossed counter needles. The ice blades ripped through their counterpart copies and moved towards the Awaken, who merely sidestepped and charged. The Ice Elemental smiled as he lowered his blade to his side and charged.

The blades clashed and a battle of ice needles broke out as the two began to fire needles at each other from the moist atmosphere around them. Although it took two of Kaien's needles to match one of Zachary's at first, quickly, the needles began to balance out in size. The two broke the sword lock and began to swing their blades quickly and in a frenzy. A powerful horizontal slash from the ice mage met with a downward slash from the Awaken, and then a thrust for the ice innate barely missed the learner's body as the man sidestepped and swung his sword downwards.

The Ice Elemental quickly leapt forwards, narrowly evading the blade and turning to face his foe. "Well, if needles won't work as well any longer, I guess I'll need something larger," the ice warrior stated as he held his hand out and countless needles formed into a single is spear. With a palm thrust, the innate sent the spear rushing towards his foe. "Block that one, guy!"

The three chains moved forwards quickly and the bounty hunter smiled. So this woman used chains as her form of attack. A long and short range weapon, thanks to the golden spikes atop them and the strange, what seemed to be red barbs. Aside from that, they could work as offense or defense. Still, all these thoughts did were to make Monroe smile widely and move his photon sword quickly, knocking the chains away.

The chain-wielder pulled her weapons back quickly after they were blocked and looked at the mercenary's buzzing blade. "Powers are great, but they're nothing like the power technology can give you. My sword isn't magic, but instead technology. It will overcome you!" the modern fencer yelled as he rushed at the woman. Quickly, the red haired woman spun her chains and launched them at the bounty hunter, who merely sidestepped the first, only to move towards the second, oncoming chain that cut his side lightly.

Monroe winced at the pain of the cut, but pushed it back as he swung his blade down, quickly meeting a sword-like chain that appeared to be held by the woman. The buzz of the blade against the chain and the force of the two meeting made the enhanced human smile. "Do you see what I mean?" he asked her, pushing his blade forward with all of his might, intent on pushing through her chains or pushing her back. Whichever came first.
