Note: This is only separate from the above post because this part of R'keltera is furthest along to becoming an aspect of only one element. The aspects will only needed to be approved after all of them have surfaced.
The Air Aspect
______________________________________
Name: Thira (Pronounced "Theer'ah")
Age: 20
Race: Human
Sex: Female
Hair: It goes a bit past her shoulders, and usually left out to flow with the wind. Thira has very light-blond hair.
Eyes: Grey.
Weight: 60kg
Height: About 170cm.
Abilities: All of her abilities, including her weapons, armor & magick, are stored in small spheres, known as Bolos, with significant energy & matter-storage capabilities. (see below)
It takes a few minutes, but she has trained herself to be able to make these any time she wants.
Also, she is right-handed in every way, and thus has limited use of her left hand.
Weapons & Armor storage: These can take any one object each, and reduce it to its most basic chemical elements, and then compact them into a minute space, able to be readied just as quick as were she using a storage device such as a scabbard. These objects can be found:
-on her belt, which is where she stores her currently-unnamed bow. The composite bow is made of a mithril-yew composite, and the magical essence of the mithril allows her to safely navigate the void.
-(Notably, Thira does not keep armor in her necklace-hung bolo, but instead uses the air around her as a shield. Thira feels that armor would slow her down too much.)
-on her bracelets, where she keeps a pair of scythe-bladed bracers (which she tries to only use if both long-range and magic attacks are out of the question); these are light-weight, and so do not slow her down as much as other hand or arm based equipment would.
-on her right foot she has an anklet which stores the Light energy used in creating a void-portal.
-on her left foot she has an anklet which stores the Dark energy used in creating a void-portal.
NOTE: she also keeps a small knife in her right boot (not in a Bolo), which is used for menial tasks such as cutting food when she's travelling.
Magick/energy storage: There is Chaos, and there is Order; magics which involve chaos are "creation" magics, and none of the aspects of R'keltera know how to effectively use these (For the manipulation of these can often be unpredictable). Magics which involve order are "manipulation" magics, and form the basis of their power. Chaos is in a constant struggle to try to change things from their current state, while order is in a constant struggle to try to make everything stay the same.
Parallel to Order and Chaos, there are particles that exist in everything, and these are Fire, Water, Earth, Air/Wind, Light, and Darkness. The first four of these exist in concentration where you would expect them to - Fire can be found in fire and lacking in ice, Water can be found in water, ice, and in small amounts in the air, Earth can be found in rock, metal and wood, while Air can be found in the air, no matter the chemical composition of the air itself. Light and Darkness on the other hand, can be found everywhere in exactly equal proportions, with the only exceptions being within Light and Dark magics; shadows or the lack thereof have no effect on the ratio of Light to Dark.
Thira's two Earrings each have one Bolo and they each can store large amounts of energy within (one type each). In the right earring, she likes to keep a store of Air, which when converted into air pressure, can be used as a defensive barrier, a slicing wind, as well as other things. In her other earring, she stores a variety of different things, often dependent on what energies are nearby.
Fire: Having had so much experience with manipulating Fire from when she was still a part of Tera, Thira can do many things with it. She can shoot it like a missile (aka. a fireball), and combining this ability with the manipulation of Air allows her to guide the fireball in mid-flight with greater accuracy, and have general control over the missile from further away. Keeping the fireball stationary results in a reliable, yet very hot, light source.
Thira can also use the fire to immolate (aka. set fire to) her weapon or armor to add extra offensive and defensive power to their natural strength. Her ability to absorb energy allows her to not get burnt or even hot from her equipment; she just absorbs the heat into a spare bolo.
Electricity: Although Thira has tried, before and after the split, to control lightning, she has had little luck.
Air/Wind: As Air can be found almost anywhere, this is the standard element which Thira is next most experienced in after Fire, and after learning that her innate element was Air, Thira was determined to become better at using it.
-She can use this to blow things away (lowering the air pressure a short distance in front of her and raising it in the area between her and the low air pressure, causing the high air pressure to move away from her and effectively blowing air away from herself);
-She can use it to jump or fly (lowering the air pressure above her and raising the air pressure below her, which can have slight adjustments to it, to change the speed at which she jumps or flies);
-Thira can also use air pressure to increase or decrease the speed at which herself, someone else, or an object is traveling (lower pressure in front of the subject and higher pressure behind it to increase speed; the inverse to decrease speed). She has nearly perfected this to be practical telekinesis, but not quite;
-100% air pressure to create an impenetrable wall, area, etc.
-0% air pressure to create a vacuum;
-A common use she has for air pressure is to create a bubble around herself made either of high air pressure (to slow physical attacks), or low air pressure (to at least partially negate energy attacks). Neither is effective against pure magic.
-Requiring not only air around her, but also alot of stored air pressure, is to create a whirlwind around herself. Thira finds it easier to do this when she is very high up however, as being high up allows her to maintain distance from the fierce winds which surround the eye of the storm. With the aid of just about any flammable substance along with the Fire element, she is able to ignite the whirlwind, which requires no maintenance of the Fire, but extra of the Air.
*As the only one who can invert Air, Thira is trying to figure out how to effectively use it, but is still in the beginning stages of this process.
Earth: Tera learnt how to carve any shape out of any wooden, earthern or metallic substance, provided there is enough of the material to do it with, and so this knowledge was passed on by Raven learning it from her, and Thira splitting away from Raven.
Life Energy: Life energy is a combination of the four standard elements, and the exact ratios within each living being are different. This combination element can be absorbed only by removing it from a subject who is not resisting the process, and is used to heal injuries. With a large enough supply of this energy, it is theoretically possible to raise the dead (the amount required for this however, would need to be about ten times that of how much the subject would have had at full strength). All six aspects of R'keltera are able to sense the elemental balance within a living being, but must guess or previously know it if they wish to raise the dead. It is not possible to combine the elements to make free life-energy, nor separate these elements to completely remove it.
Light: When Light is removed from an area or object, that area will become dark briefly, and be painful to anyone who touches it. Pure Light, when imbued to an object, strengthens the object and makes it much harder to break.
Darkness: When Darkness is removed from an area or object, that area will become very light briefly, and be painful to anyone who touches it. Pure Darkness, when imbued to an object, strengthens the object and makes it more painful to the enemy on the recieving end of an attack, or on the attacking end when Dark armor is hit.
Void: Tera had discovered that often when trying to manipulate "creation" energies, it will occaisionally form into a void. The void itself is in actuality the complete lack of either balance element, but is in practicality a space between dimensions which can lead to anywhere and anywhen. There is no time, space, sound, or sight within the void. Everything in it is simultaneously in the same spot and infinitely distant from the other things. This means that if two (or more) people are in the void at the same time, a form of telepathic communication is possible if they remember and focus on the fact that their minds are in the same place as eachother. In order to make a portal to the void, an area must be created which contains no balance element, but is surrounded by exactly one of the standard elements (which is then used as a medium; a portal into the void). A portal created without a medium will be unstable, which means it cannot be kept open for a long period of time, and may implode without any warning (the only "warning" being its nature of being without a medium).
The Dome is the only exception to the rules of the void, as it is the same in every place inside and outside of every dimension. Although the Dome does share some similar proporties to the void, it is the only "location" within it which abides by different laws of physics. Thira requires to be holding an object to safely travel the void, namely something crystalline or magical. For this purpose, her mithril bow is used.
NOTE: She has magicks not stored within Bolos, it’s just that she never uses it due to their nature of trying to control chaotic forces, which she is not skilled enough to do without letting some of the chaos leak.
Strengths: Her Magick is a manipulation of what is already there, and thus cannot be controlled by others unless she loses concentration (also meaning that the energy stored within a Bolo can only be absorbed or released by one of the aspects of R'keltera, as the natural state of a bolo is to keep the object in)
Thira is intelligent and acrobatic, and innately knows where her feet need to be in order to keep her stability in a fast-paced environment.
Weakness: During her training with her late mentor, R'keltera was an apt student in the ways of magick and acrobatics, but was slow to learn any martial arts except for the most basic dueling rod strategies; thus, most of her physical attacks are merely an amateur's intuition.
Damaging a Bolo damages and/or weakens the most recent thing to be stored within it. Shattering a Bolo renders it useless (along with any object or energy currently stored in it). The only exception to this is her gnarled staff which, because it is inherently magickal anyway, will not be damaged even if the Bolo is damaged (if the Bolo is shattered while the staff is inside, the staff will come out automatically).
Even though the Bolos are made entirely out of magick, they can still be damaged by physical contact as well. Although, due to their size (less than 1 inch diameter), this can be very hard to do.
Appearance: Thira wears simple clothes, as they are the most comfortable things to wear; but this does not mean that she lacks vanity – She treasures not only her Bolos, but also the jewellery they hang from: Golden Earrings, Pearl Bracelets, Platinum Anklets, a Silver Belt, and a gold-laced amulet from which the Bolo is set into a diamond shaped socket. Thira's (rather thin) hair is very shiny from being well washed & taken care of. The clothes she wears allow for agile movements, and complement the color of her innate element Air.
Personality: Her nomadic life has led her to be meditative and calm, and her travels have led her to be able to judge people quickly, leading to Thira trusting nearly everyone she meets. If Thira is shown a good reason to not trust a person however, she will not hold a grudge, but will instead look for a new reason to trust them, all because she strongly dislikes aggression and conflict.
To Thira, death is just another part of the cycle of life, and is not to be feared, as she believes a person's spirit (aka. soul) will reincarnate; and yet she will avoid death for herself & others when the choice presents itself.
Thira dislikes people who judge things before they know them, although not as much as most of the other aspects do.
Also, Thira is very proud of her Bolos, because she was the one to fully develop their construct. (back before she split into the elemental aspects)
Biography: **Due to this being only one aspect of R'keltera, it would be more fitting for only the RPs and Battles she has been a part of to be included here.
Thira's more recent history:
Where the Wind Blows (Part 1) (Character Fiction)
Unknown to Raven, the void-portal letting everyone leave the empty room in the Dome had not been entirely successful, as another copy of herself was made. The new piece of R'keltera named herself Thira anddecided to wait until the room became a proper training room. About an hour later, the room transformed into an expansive sea, and Thira landed on a 20th century military cruiser where it seemed people had already met Raven, but Thira was still welcomed anyway. Up at the helm of the boat, Thira met Raven, and also found out that Raven was due to fight someone in that room of her choice. When Raven was about to opt to fight a cyborg, she saw a man who had a bolo, and thus instead chose to fight that man, who actually turned out to be R'keltera's father.
During the fight however, Raven was losing to a magic her father weilded a magic which she had never seen - Darkness. Just before she was about to lose however, Thira stepped in and turned the tide of the battle in her favor. Unfortunately, a surprise attack from her father somehow sent her to the void, but luckily she meets Tera there before she is scattered by the void.
Where the Wind Blows (Part 2) (Character Fiction; Coming Soon)
Summary: Tera takes Thira to their late mentor Modenhal, who magically deduces that Tera is "A burning light cast upon the ground", while Thira is "A cool mist in a light breeze". Taking this into account, Tera decides that her mithril bow would be better used in the hands of Thira, but Thira states that she would need more than a simple bow to be able to defend herself, and so they travel to a blacksmith suggested by Modenhal and get a pair of scythed bracers made for Thira.
