I agree that Zelda needs some changes and needs to experiment more, but the idea of commanding troops seems a bit extreme for the Zelda series. To me, it would take away from the feel of the game too much and make it more like a Command and Conquer game.

I suppose you can interpret this different ways, or take it with a grain of salt, but Twilight Princess was said to be "the last game of it's kind". I expect some changes for the better, some new ideas, and some general experimenting in the new Zelda game, but I'd rather not be King of Hyrule.
