Wildfire mentally kicked himself for losing his grip on Negatsuki's neck. Just a minute longer...well, it didn't matter now. The guy bounces back like a spring. Wilfire thought as he was grabbed from behind, and sent into a downward spiral. His wings were caught, and he didn't have enough energy for an explosion attack.

He let his body go limp. For a few seconds, it actually felt good to have some semblance of rest. Juts before he hit the ground, he positioned his head at just the right angle so the thick plating of horn on his head would be the first thing to hit. Then the impact came, and he was pile driven into the ground past his neck. The strike stunned him to the point that he actually passed out.

A loud roar brought him back to consciousness. When he pulled his head out of the ground, he could see Negatsuki facing Zoshonel. The roar was from Zoshonel, screamed in anger and warning. Wildfire spoke up to get his opponent's attention.

"Trying to piledrive me is like trying to hit a ram in the head. It's just going to make the ram mad!" Wildfire said. He told Zoshonel to fly off, and the dragon took to the air to find shelter. While Zoshonel hid himself, the two opponents stared at each other. They were both worn out, and conventional means of combat had proved futile.

Wildfire wanted to rest, but he knew he'd be dead if he let his guard down. He had to watch his opponent closely, and act on a hair trigger if the demon made the slightest movement. He was obviously very quick, and had excellent jumping ability. The Dragomancer was running out of ideas, but had to think of a way to end this. He just prayed that dragon spirit didn't feel like doing Negatsuki any more favors for a while, and give him a new power.

Even so, midday was coming soon. Wildfire could feel a bit of his power returning as the sun crept higher into the sky. If only he could think of a plan, he may find a way to win.
