Hello, I new Jared (a.k.a Duke) from School, he was actually my best friend. I just read the posts on Jared's guestbook on Chron.com, and I just wanted to thank you all for posting those kind, loving words. All of us appreciate that very much. I understand that some of you were close to Jared through this website, which is why I decided to join. His family is very shaken up right now, but they appreciate all the kind words that have been said regarding Jared. We are just so heartbroken right now. Everything seems empty now, and I have realized how trivial so many things are, things that used to be so important. He loved you all so much, and you were all such a big part in developing his poetic writing style. As I am sure you all know, he finished his novel on Christmas Day, and emailed it to a few of us. We are currently considering getting the novel edited and published, and a fantastic cover for the novel was created by one of Jared's fellow best friends. He called his novel "Shadows". If any of you ever wishes to talk about Jared, or trade pictures or stories, or anything, please, just email me at
sproutbond@hotmail.com. I am not sure whether or not his parents are aware of this website, but I will find an opportunity to let them know about it. I am so grateful that I found this site and I have joined it with the goal of getting closer to those who knew Jared (however disappointing the circumstances may be). I would really appreciate it if you could all email me his stories and whatnot, as I would love to collect them and make them into a book to give to his family. I would also like to collect all of your comments about Jared, and any stories that you all may have, and give those to his family as well. Please email me for anything, I am desperate to talk to anyone who had ANY connection with Jared, even if you did not know him well. If any of you have a Facebook, please let me know and I will supply you with my information to make it easier for you to talk with me and get access to pictures and stories of Jared. And to you, Jared-my best friend, my brother-in-arms, my co-conspirator, my family-I just wanted to say that no amount of words could ever do your memory justice or honor you enough. I miss you so much, man. And I love you so much, and that will never change, from now until the end of time. Don't forget to come visit! With love, Connor.
