Re: (ZGen/Fan) Link's Shadow (t)

CHAPTER 5: Freeing Light
Link traveled into a cave, going through the sewers, stepping over a few rats and dead bodies.

Link held his sword close, walking into a large circular room. Large stone steps went up to the top. Link began to crawl. Then he saw the same dog men with long necks marching. They wore armor and a few flags and drums. Some carried pikes, others carried swords and axes, and some escorted a catapult. So, basically, on top, there was the hylian base, and right underneath them, an evil base.

Link climbed the large steps, making sure not to be spotted, hiding behind a barrel every time he felt in danger. Walking up to a guard, he slit the man's throat. He took his bow and quiver.

He continued his ascent up. Finally reaching a top room, he walked out a door. He was in the sacred spring. Walking to the other side, he left.

He got into a canoe, paddling up the river. It was hard work, he rowed fighting the currents until dawn. He finally reached a small dock. Walking through a door, he was in the Upper Zora River. He continued down a trail, into the Zora's Domain.

It was frozen.

Link went up the ledge, reaching the throne room, he found Dark Link sitting there," Ah, well, you're doing better..."

"You better bet it!" Link retorted. He drew his sword, running at Dark Link.

Dark link leapt up out of the chair. Link's sword banged against the throne. Dark Link knocked him down," I hope you like my curse... See if you can Free the light!"

Link groaned as Dark Link walked away. He found a small door, which he entered. He found a Zora woman trapped in a cage. Many of the Dog/human soldiers surrounded the cage.

"Charge!" one shouted. Link leapt to avoid them. Slicing one in the back. Another tried stabbing him with a pike. Link rolled to avoid, twirling into the air, he sliced the troop's head off. He cut another in the process. Two ran at him. He ducked as they stabbed each other.

Link grinned, running at another, slicing on of his legs of, he delivered the final blow. The remaining four troops backed away.

"Lets retreat, lets make Lord Link send in the beast..."

"What are you sayi-" Link was cut short when the men disappeared. The ground began shaking. A large rotting whale pulled out, a roar went out. Link ran to avoid being sucked in the thing's mouth.

After it was out of energy trying to suck him in, Link ran in him. It smelled HORRIBLE! The smell of rotting flesh filled his nostrils as he hacked his way through. Finally reaching the end, he found another gem, like on the slug. But 5 more troops leapt out. They ran at Link.

"Not you guys!" Link shouted. He continued to dodge other attacks. Before one could stop him, he broke the gem.

And with that, he ran off, the troops attempting to follow him. Link felt the whale collapsing, and he felt water surround him. It was cold. He felt the whole whale collapse. A piece of bone hit him in the back of the head.

He awoke with the Zora queen standing over him.

"Thank you, you saved my Kingdom."

Link felt as if he was in water. He got up soaking wet. He felt the current of the river going south. To thank him, the Zora's giving him the Zora garments, now link could breathe and swim under water. So Link swam away. Under water, he found more troops swimming around. They had pikes. When they saw him, they shot after him.

Link darted through the water, finally reaching the Northern rapids, he shot through the water at amazing speeds. The troops were on his tail. He saw them start to float above the water for air. He drew his bow, putting an arrow in, he let the current take him. He stuck the bow out, firing it at one of the troops, who was hit in the face.

He fell dead.

The rest, tired of floating, went back up the rapids to watch the Domain. Link continued down, falling form a small water fall, he went under water. With the garments, he kicked off. He soared from the waters surface, onto the shore.

He changed back into his dry green cloths, which were a little damp. He ran to the other side of the lake, since most men were asleep. He went to the public stable, paid ten rupees, and got his horse back. He saddled up, and rode off.

NOTE: Not everything in the story is from a dream. But a lot of things are.
