Is Heath Ledger even gay? If he isn't then his statements are not applicable. Even if God hated gays, if Heath isn't actually gay then it wouldn't be relevant.
This brings up the question, should this type of activity be permitted. Is there really a valid reason to allow people to disrupt a funeral process?

No idea, but these people have been protesting at funerals for quite some time now, most of them soldiers who died in Iraq. However, some legal action has been taken, but they still persist on doing this.
