Wow... no lost posts in quite a while. Well, this is the REVIVING POST!
Season 4 premieres in exactly one week here in america. I was just recently introduced to season 3 ( idon't have television and just got into lost at the end of season 3). But as of now i am completely caught up!

My impresseions of season 3 and finale:

-I believe the man in the coffin is John Lock
-I believe that Kate's "He" is Sawyer
-I believe that Jacob is Jack (I'll explain later)
-The Losties aren't saved... exactly in the way they had hoped
-I truly believe that the Others aren "bad"

Now, about Jack being Jacob.
-First, their names are very similar.
-Second, on the special features of season three you can watch a Dharma Initiative instructional video "The Orchid" . In this video you see the what I call "Hatchman" explaining a new hatch, a supposed botonacal research station, he is holding a rabbit with the number 15 (just like Ben's with the number 8 as seen in "Everyman for himself") during his explanation of the hatch another rabit appears behind him, also with the number 15. This shows that somthing or someone can be at two places at one time. Phew, that was long
-Third, in the glimpse of Jacob (he can be briefly seen in "The man behind the curtain" it shows a closeup of his eyes and a bit of his face. In "Through the looking glass" this exact same view is shown of Jack through his mirror at the end of the episode.
-What it all means (IMO) Jack, after leaving the island realises that he made a mistake, he will do anything to get back. I believe that he has found the island again, uses the "orchid" to take his future self back in time. Jacob. This is furthered by the two words Jacob says to John "help me". John at first doesn't think this is Jacob, then when he sees Walt he realises this means help jack. This is precisely what he does, he tries to 'Help" jack by stopping him from calling the freighter...
