i have noticed several examples of real world mythology in the zelda games. for example the bremen mask is a reference to the grimm brothers story called the bremen town musicians, which is a really famous old fairy tale. also, epona was the name of a horse goddess in some western european pagan religions and later it was the name of a horse in english/welsh legend. i bet there are other examples and i was wondering if anyone knew of any.
