As for the name thing, it was probably a translation error. On a side note, in OOT, the kokiri girl who gives you the poacher's saw is also named Fado.

Well, the girl with the saw and the wind temple sage were both kokiri. And Ordon Province is right next to Faron Province, where the Sacred Forest Meadow is. Could it be that Ordon lies where Kokiri Forest once was, in the past? Maybe Fado is a descendent of the Kokiri. There isn't really any in-game evidence in TP to support this, but the similarities are intriguing.
