Monster games... are there any out there?
I'm trying to think of any decent games where you're the monster and the creature that people fear, rather than you being the shining hero running around and beating the monster to save the damsel in distress.
Jurassic Park: Lost World was a playstation game I loved playing years ago, where you could play as the raptor and even the T-Rex when you got far enough in the game, but it was rather simple and the game samey after a few levels.
Jaws Unleashed was recent and great fun at first for a couple of hours, but I soon became bored and the gamestyle/graphics left a lot to be desired.
I liked Bloodmoon for Morrowind a lot, you could become infected and turn into a werewolf if you didn't get yourself cured, and performed quests for the Daedric God of Hunting, Hircine, against the Nordic Skall tribes of Solstheim. It was pretty hard as the werewolf, especially when you transformed every night (which made game progress a little tiring after the main Bloodmoon quest was over).
Okami wasn't... so much of a monster game, but the game was pretty unique and delightful to play, with the main character as a wolf. I like those sort of games too where gameplay is a little... different.
So are there any other games where you play as monsters and other such creatures? I'm wondering if there's anything out there that I might still be able to play and have fun with, since the 'monster genre' is a little lacking with the amount of games available.
