Re: A Trial of Angels(Sakume)
"Lyia..." Will repeated the name. Somehow, it did seem familiar. He did not dwell upon it, though. He had more important things to worry about than a recognition of a name. "You never answered my question. How is the room? Temperature to your liking?" When she didn't answer, as if holding out angrily, he simply smiled. "Your wolf's pelt... I'm sure me wearing her as a coat would loosen your tongue."
"The temperature... is fine," she ground out.
Will's face lit up with a cocky smile. He knew he had her completely under his thumb, and he intended upon flaunting it. He held up his hands, clapping once. Instantly, from both sides of the room, armored angels entered carrying trays. They placed one in front of the bound angel and the other in front of the captain, lifting the lids to reveal a warm, savory appetizer, something of a game hen with herbs sprinkled over it.
"Eat, please." Will gestured to the untesils in front of her. "Your chains should not hinder you from picking up a fork." After some red wine was poured into both goblets, he raised a glass to her. "I assume you drink, Miss Kunata?" He sipped the sweet liquid before setting it down.
The soldier bent down to whisper something to the captain, who simply chuckled and waved him aside. They retreated back out, leaving the two alone. "You must be surprised, to have returned and found your room the way it must have been when you left. Unfortunately, your father is no longer king, and has not been for a while. Things are changing, Miss Kunata. Your old crime record was rediscovered, and you have someone testifying against you tomorrow. I'd suggest you enjoy this meal."
Lutai growled, pulling against her chain for a few moments, but it was useless. The wolf could not break free. "Beautiful animal, this one. Tell me, where did you find her? Pure coat, too. It would be worth a fortune. Now you must tell me something, Miss Lyia. Do you intend to continue living? This one question I must know, or nothing that follows will be worth saying." His eyes seemed to bore right into her at this statement, searching her, slightly longing.
