Re: What TV Series Seasons Do You Own on DVD
Angel: Season One
Angel: Season Two
Angel: Season Three
Angel: Season Four
Angel: Season Five
I borrowed these from a friend, and much to my surprise I was offered them for ten bucks a pop when I asked if they wanted them back. It was too good of a deal to pass up.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Complete Third Season (Collector's Edition)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Complete Foruth Season (Collector's Edition)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Complete Fifth Season
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Complete Sixth Season
Even though I watched the entire show over the summer, I've still been buying the DVDs when I find them used, or for $30 or under. Why? Well, because it is a show that I find to be infinately rewatchable, and because of the special features, especially commentary tracks with series creator Joss Whedon. The man is a genius that I just love to hear talk. Collector's edition basically denotes that it's one of the fold-out versions and not the newer slimmer ones.
Dexter: The Complete First Season
I was introduced to this show in the early spring, and thought it was one of the more brilliantly written short serials I had ever seen. I got the DVD with a gift certificate if only for the fact that I'd lend it out to people so they could see how well-done it was. Though the second season (or what I've seen of it) has pretty much blown the first out of the water.
Firefly: The Complete Series
I watched the show online about a year ago, and fell in love with it. I had to have it on DVD so I could rewatch it again in high quality, and over and over again. I found it for $25 and the rest is history.
Freaks and Geeks: The Complete Series
My uncle got this for me as my most recent birthday gift, with me having no real prior knowledge of the show, thinking I would like it. Turns out, he was right. It is a great look at the high school experience from two of the more "outcast" groups that don't really get a realistic showing in most high-school themed shows or movies. The DVD is loaded with commentaries, 29 of them for I think 17 episodes, which is heaven for me.
Scrubs: The Complete First Season
Scrubs: The Complete Second Season
Scrubs: The Complete Third Season
Scrubs: The Complete Fourth Season
Scrubs: The Complete Fifth Season
Scrubs: The Complete Sixth Season
Scrubs was my favourite running comedy for a good long while, and is still one of my favourites of all time. I waited a long time for them to get released on DVD, and have bought every season the day it came out, all save the sixth.
Survivor: The Complete First Season - Borneo
Survivor: The Complete Second Season - Australian Outback
While it may seem odd to rewatch a reality show, I've done it more than once. I just like to watch it for the people. I'd have bought more of the seasons, but I'd like to buy them in order and the third one hasn't been released yet.
That covers it for now.
