Valkyhn Version 2

Valkyhn
V.2

Name: Valkyhn (Val-kin) He took his name from his murdered mentor as a child.
Original name: Timothy
Age: 23
Race: Okami- A werewolf-like species associated by some lore as gods. Also, part Vampire. He got bitten…
Sex: Male
Hair: Dark Brown. His hair is usually messy with a half-arsed attempt at it being kept nice. His bangs covers most of his forehead and some of his eyes. He’s able to easily move it to the side where it will stay if he needs to see.
Eyes: Emerald Green with sometimes a glimmer.
Weight: 145 pounds
Height: 5ft 7in tall

Strengths: Valkyhn is fast, agile and strong. His reaction times are very quick, giving him an edge in battle. He is also very observant, and always strategizing, that is, unless he gets really pissed off (which happens quite often) and attacks wildly. While in his wolf form, his agility and speed is even better, as his mobility.

Weaknesses: Valkyhn is very ill-tempered and loses his cool very easily. When this happens, he becomes stupid and blood-thirsty, usually leaving himself wide open, which smart enemies will take advantage of. Taunting does not sit well with him.

Armor: As previously stated, none.

Weapons: His sword, Radiance. The sword has a long blade (about 42 inches) and about a 12 inch hilt. The hilt and the sheath are completely black. The blade itself is made from extremely hard steel, with trace amounts of diamond to make it even stronger. The sword is pretty much indestructible. Along the length of the blade is an indention in the middle with intricate writings on it that even Valkyhn can’t read. The sword is also that of his murdered mentor. He carries the sword in his belt. His sword also has a special power imbued upon it. (Explained in Magic/Skills)

In wolf form: Teeth, claws. Through his fighting, he found a “technique” that replaced his tail and claws with the steel of his sword

Magic/Skills:

Originally, he started out with no special skills save shapeshifting at will. But as he fought, he grew stronger and obtained new abilities.

Zegor’s Pendant- A magical pendant that grants him the power to control the darkness. It can:
-Create veils of shadows
-Beams of powerful darkness that can hurt the enemy
-Look in people’s souls (Know their emotions)
- Control the amount of moonbeams that hit a certain area, even if it's a new moon. It won't change how the moon looks, just redirects its beams towards an area of Valkyhn's choice.
The pendant was given to him by Vasalis after he and Vasalis battled.

Trans-Fusion- When Valkyhn got stabbed by his own sword, he discovered that, if he transforms into his wolf state at the exact same time, his claws and tail will be replaced by the steel of his blade. This lets his attacks be more powerful and stronger. His tail, while in this state, looks like five slim daggers right below each other while looking at his profile.

Rage- Valkyhn gets super pissed, forgetting all sense of kindness, intelligence or morality. He gets really dangerous when he gets in this state of mind. But, this is also a double-edged sword. Valkyhn also loses any sense of tiredness or pain, letting his body push itself too much until he completely overexerts himself and dies.

Basic Enhancement- In a battle with Rain, a vampire turned Grim Angel, Rain bit him to heal himself. The effects of that bite left him with greater abilities. His senses are now more tuned, such as better hearing, smelling, and seeing in the darkness. It also improved his speed, strength agility, and endurance twofold, giving him an even better edge in battle. Also, his canines grew bigger than they were before and he has an even bigger thirst for blood when pissed. Doesn’t drink it though.

Appearance: Valkyhn wears a basic black t-shirt. He also wears blue jeans with many cuts and holes in them. He wears a brown leather belt loosely as to fit his sword in it, but not too loose where it would wiggle around and waggle and fall. Tennis shoes, nothing special. His wolf form contains dark blue fur, and the same brilliant green eyes.

Personality- Valkyhn, with lack of a better term, is an a-hole to those who ticks him off. Sharp tongued, offensive, instigator, he usually starts the fights he partakes in. But, to those he knows, and doesn’t hate, and to strangers he’s an alright guy. He likes to help people in trouble, whether or not there is something in it for him or not. He's kind to strangers, and usually very generous. When he’s by himself, he’s usually calm and collected, passive, depressed at times. Reminisces a lot. Valkyhn is also very in tune with nature, as he is a werewolf. He finds himself most at home in a forest, or just around trees in general. His one great pet peeve is anyone that messes with nature or upsets its balance (I.E. Starts a fire in the forest, hunts for sport, etc.)

Biography- *Note: His biography is going to be almost completely re-written.*

It was a cool June night, unlike the usual hot, humid nights that had occurred before it. The town was silent, for the most part. The moon shone brightly through the atmosphere, occasionally blocked by the rare looming cloud. A soft wind blew to the east, evoking a soothing rustle of grass, leaves, and the calm whisper from the wind itself. The summer here was the favorite season for the people, bringing with it an almost unanimous sense of happiness and joy that was rarely ever seen so exuberant any other time of the year. It would seem a day not fit at all for the death of a mother and a father.

And yet, it happened. It would seem that not even Death cared for the season or mood. In the small town hospital lay a young woman, twenty five, on a hospital bed in labor, a nurse caring for her needs. A lone man, at the same time, running through the woods, injured, bloody, desperately running for the barrier of the town.

Thirty minutes passed slowly for both the male and female, both in such pain. The man had finally reached the border, and quickly, he crossed through the other side, leaving him safe from his followers. But as safe as he was, he did not stop. He ran as fast as he his wounded body could take him, down the streets of the town, searching for his home, where his wife would be laying, asleep, awaiting his arrival while awake, and meeting him in her dreams. Bursting through the door, he rushed into the bedroom, hoping to find his love asleep in the bed. But instead, found an empty house.

He hurried out of the house, back onto the streets, not even stopping to close the door. He knew where she was. Getting there alive was the problem that faced him now. As fast as he could, he ran down the street, towards his destination. Meanwhile in the hospital, the woman had just begun to give birth to her son as doctors hastily bustled around, preparing for the birth.

The man was now only a street away. He pushed himself further and further, refusing his tired, aching body to stop. But he had pushed himself too hard, for seconds later he collapsed onto the street, exhaling his final breath.

At that exact moment, the woman felt a sudden pain inside her that she had not experienced before. The pain overwhelmed her, consumed her, and seconds after her son was born, she named him quickly, and rested her head slowly on her pillow, closed her eyes, and slept from then on.

And thus, that night, Timothy of the Okami was born an orphan, knowing neither mother nor father.

… … … …

Years passed. Timothy grew up in the orphan home of the village, no one willing to accept him. At the age of fourteen, Timothy was accepted into the martial arts school of the village, where he lived and trained in the art of transformation, fighting, and the way of the sword. His mentor went by the name of Valkyhn, a young man scarred from the battles he had fought, both physically and mentally. Valkyhn grew into a father figure for Timothy, the sole person in the world Timothy had ever grown close to, until he met a girl named Kyeva. Also a student in the school, Timothy and Kyeva grew close together, both having no one else to hold on to. As the years passed, the two’s relationship grew to a love interest, as they both grew stronger under the care of Valkyhn.

It was a Saturday, the first of the month. School was off for the weekend; Timothy and Kyeva were alone in the forest surrounding the village, sitting on a massive branch of one of the bigger trees when a sudden wailing of a siren sounded in the distance, coming from the village. Glancing terrified looks, the two rushed back to the village, fearing the worst.

As they entered the village, they followed the crowd of running people, headed towards what it seemed, was the martial arts school. Indeed it was. Upon arriving, Timothy told Kyeva to stay calm and wait outside, and he disappeared through the crowd.

“Hey! What happened?” yelled Timothy, seeing a student of the school by the entrance.

“We were attacked! Vampires! Someone let a group of them in! They attacked the school, killed—,” he stopped, as if afraid to admit it.

“Killed who?”

“They killed Valkyhn sensei…”

Timothy felt a pain shoot through his veins. His eyes grew wide, his body suddenly cold. “What?”

As the days following the ambush passed, Timothy began into a downward spiral of emotion. First, there was sadness, an overwhelming sadness that neither he nor Kyeva could shake, no matter how hard either tried. The sadness led to depression which led to anger. Anger against the vampires, the ones that had killed now both his fathers. And the rogue Okami that allowed the vampires in. How his hatred fostered.

And so, a week later, Timothy was standing at the edge of the town, looking back at the many buildings. He would not miss it once he left. The only one he would miss would be his love. Kyeva. He hoped she would not take it too hard. Breathing in deeply the morning air, he turned and slowly walked out of the town, into the surrounding forest. Onward to wherever he would be taken.

Vampires, though already the enemies of the Okami, now had a new enemy. His name was Valkyhn, taken after the name of the man’s mentor that had been murdered.
