The detective scribbled something down on her pad of paper and nodded. "Alright, that leaves you then," she said, looking to Sarah. The writer stood and walked over to take the seat the green haired man had just left. She watched him as he walked back to his seat. Certainly odd, that one, she thought to herself. But I don't know that I think him capable of murder...

She sat and faced the detective, paying little attention to the others in the room. "My name's Sarah Hamilton. I've no relation to Mina, nor the owner of the house. I showed up here a few weeks ago, needing a place to stay for a bit."

"I didn't see anything or anyone for most of the night, really... I'd gone up to my room early in the evening to get some writing done, and stayed there for the rest of the night. I heard some noise, but it just sounded like people coming and going normally, and since I share a hall with several other visitors I didn't pay much attention to it. Once I start writing I sort of block out my surroundings... I didn't know anything was going on until the commotion drew me to Mina's room with everyone else."

Sarah stopped. Writing in her room, alone, all night. Not the best alibi, considering no one knew her... but it was the truth. She wondered briefly if the others suspected her, but decided that it didn't matter much. The writer looked to the detective. "Well, that's about it. Do you need anything else?"
