^Well, yes, but that news is six months old. I don't doubt that there will be another addition to the franchise, but if it is a spin-off, I doubt it would follow the Fountain of Youth story, since that was set up to a be a story that Jack Sparrow would be a part in. That article refers to the idea the spin-off with its own storyline is possible. The franchise is too much of a cash cow to be left where it is, but if a spin-off would likely only be a Disney film, perhaps produced by Bruckheimer, and likely that would be as far as the similarities expand in terms of cast and crew. I probably wouldn't be too into that...I'd go see it, but I'd complain the whole time.
