I haven't decided on whether or not I'm going to watch this show. It didn't make it onto my regular watching schedule, because there was no space for it, but as with every new show this season, It was under consideration, and may or may not be watched in the future.

The mental argument pretty much goes like this:

On one hand, I don't think that any Vampire detective show could be better than Angel. It's a show that only got consistantly better as I watched it, and since watching it has aged quite well in my mind. It had superb character development, the sharp writing that can be expected from any Mutant Enemy or Joss Whedon project, and sports the best series finale I have ever seen.

On the other hand, even though the general concept is the same, it doesn't mean that Moonlight can't be different and good in its own right. While I doubt it can do it as well, it doesn't mean it can't tell a good story. If Angel proved anything, it's that the concept of a vampire PI can work, and it works well (I am aware that there have been other shows before Angel with the concept, but they don't factor in because I haven't seen them).
