Re: Favorite Sites?

A lot of my top sites are off the beaten path, but I've got a few popular places on the list too. Stealing Galedeep's formatting pattern, I'll start with the more familiar ones and see where it goes from there.

YouTube - Shouldn't have to explain the appeal for this one.

Wikipedia - Despite the various infighting and whatever else going on behind the scenes, it's usually accurate enough for casual browsing. I can waste hours at a time just forging a path through a string of linked topics.

The Onion - Leading the pack in fake satire newpapers for who knows how long. The various articles and editorials range from decent to incredible. Very popular and well known, and with good reason--if you've never heard of this place, you owe it to yourself to give it a visit.

OverLooked ReMiX - Kinda like OverClocked Remix, only smaller and for idiots. If you like video game music and don't take things too seriously, you'll find a lot to enjoy here. Some of the pieces are actually quite inspired, in an intentionally bad and campy sort of way.

Odd Todd - This place started out as a pseudo-blog for a guy who was laid off during the dotcom crash of the early '00s, where he was basically unemployed and begging for money. It eventually evolved into its own little universe of Flash cartoons and daily segments aimed at an audience of losers, slackers, and otherwise average people. I find most of the content to be funny, but the site may not be as charming to people who weren't around during its early days.

Insolitology - Found during mid-high school, this site helped enable my already existing habit for delving into the most bizarre corners of the Internet. It's basically a collection of links to other sites with some of the craziest agendas and people to ever grace the online world. The most prominent of these are exposed and ridiculed in-depth for entertainment purposes, but in the end I like it best as a hub to some of the weirdest stuff you never wanted to know existed.

Maakies - Quite possibly the most ****ed up comic strip I've ever seen. Almost inexplicable, it's like a volatile concoction composed of high art and some of the most offensive taboos around. I was exposed to unhealthy amounts of this at a young age and I've been addicted ever since. I credit it as a major contributor to two things: the anachronistic speech patterns I'll sometimes use, and my utter moral depravity. Awesome, awesome stuff, and here's a tip for all those interested; check out the strips with "sold" next to them first, as those are generally the best.

...and that's all I can think of for now, but I know there are more. There are always more. Oh, but these forums are pretty cool too, I guess.
