Re: Pen & Paper RPG's

Yes the most efficient way to learn anything is to experiance it first hand. (Though in some cases it is not very satisfying i.e. smoking, getting shot, etc.)

Anyway on topic, Ive thought about making a kind of pen and paper RPG, where you make Super Heroes, and protect and a city/ world that you (As a group or as one) create. The villain of the game is one whom you create as a group, and you select who will play the villain. The person who plays the villain has the power to send out his minions, or use his power to cause trouble throughout the city/world.

Also you can set up traps or troubles. You randomly place things like NPC's in distress, or Enemies trying to sabotage something around the board (You as in you and your group each get to make one or many, depending on who all is playing.)

It sounds alot like dungeons and dragons, only the villain is always/ can be a different character, and has less power then a DM. So as a group you create the world, and the Heroes that protect it.

Its one of the many ideas I have had, but I never actually had time to set up the rules, battle system, Health and Magic/Power, etc. I may begin on this idea when I have some free time in class, or if my teachers bore me too much.

It sounds kind of cliche, but the fun part would be that all you would need is your character sheet, and maybe a game board (Could be pencil drawn on large paper), so you could really play anywhere.
