Go and check early screens of OoT or MM or some other game.
Most of them have early screens of parts that aren't appearing in the final version of the game. However, we did get to see screens of those beta levels. So it's only normal those things such as the Spider-chase aren't in the real game.

On the other hand, those beta-level screenshots were normal in in the N64-period (late '90), but you mostly don't see them anymore nowadays. So it's kinda old-fansioned.
