Short and black. Doesn't get in the way, isn't noticeable, isn't too bad, wala!
Xel's eyes are black. There are no whites of the eye, just black. A spot is more 'concentrated' and might be the pupil, but still no one knows...
Not much, only about 65 lb.
4'3, really short but he doesn't care.
None except his magic.
DARK MAGIC!!! 100% of his energy is put into this. He may be no good at anything else, but no one can beat him at this. And he knows it...
Light, a HUGE disadvantage. Xel' has learned to... Cope in the sunlight for a few hours at a time if he uses a little extra power, but it's still hard and anyone with light magic will OWN.
Dark Shackles: Creates invisible shackles on a creature and stops him from being able to move around. Like Zant's spell on Midna, only a little weaker of course. He can't use it on just anyone, because many people have resistance to spells like this, and it's hard enough to do without resistance or lack of concentration.
Dark energy: Just a simple ball of dark energy hurtling toward you. Not too powerful, but not too weak either. Just try and deflect it with something light.
Dark Illusions/Shadows: Creates third dimensional Shadows that are physically non-existant but frightening or confusing nonetheless. He himself resembles a shadow, so this spell is mainly used to create a few different illusions of himself, though if closely examined there are a few differences between fakes and the reals, such as a slight 'glow' on a few runes, and a few other things that can't be replicated on a shadow.
Dark Shadow manifestation: Kind of like the above, he makes himself be a shadow and can creep up walls and across floors generally unnoticed.
Teleportation: Does this need an explanation??? He can teleport up to 50 yards away.
Xel' is very small, 4'3, but he doesn't really mind his short stature. He has runes marking his body all over the place. He looks like most twili. A white body covered in shadows in substitution for clothing. (There isn't much fabric in the twili realm!). He really doesn't stand out in a crowd of twli except for his height and the dozens of runes covering his body.
He is hard to understand. Just when you think you know him, he does something unexpected. Most of the time he is an egotistical cocky mage who thinks he's the best. He will be nasty, both to himself and his opponent if he is losing or has lost. He doesn't take losing well. He loves being in charge and ruling over 'underlings'. He wishes to have his own kingdom someday, and is trying desperately to get a piece of the twilight realm to call his own.
He also can be quite nice if you show him you're no weakling or idiot, yet don't completely destroy him. If he thinks you're almost his level, he won't treat you like dirt or the worst scum of the planet. He can actually be really decent if he takes a liking to you. Just one of his odd quirks. Occasionally he'll also act like a kid again.
Generally he'll just destroy those he defeats, but every now and then, if you grovel just enough, he'll show mercy, and may well be a whole new person to you. He'll invite you to parties, lunches, and such. He's really hard to understand completely. Just when you think you find a pattern, it breaks and you have to struggle for a new one. Many think he's ripe for the Asylum.
Xel' was always small. He was picked on by others as a kid. However, he also always had an aptitude for magic. He met an old man by the far side of the town where he lived. He was an expert at such things. Xel' begged the man to teach him and spent every penny(well not penny...) he got on things to give to the old man to try and soften him up. Finally he gave in. Xel' spent long hours learning and training, fascinated by the old man's knowledge and strength. The years flew by and Xel' was now 17. His parents were of those transformed into strange beasts. Xel' was Grief-stricken by this. The old man, who had grown to think of Xel' like a son, took him in. Xel' made up for this by paying for the old man's food and shelter, refusing to say no.
Xel' learned more and more from the mage, when suddenly one day... He died. When Xel' learned of this, he was beside himself with grief. Now he had no one to care for him, no one to care for. He was disliked by all the other twili, because he shunned them all to pursue his career as a mage. Finally there was nothing for him to do but leave. He, now 25, became the man at the edge of town. Practicing his magic, and learning new spells from ancient tomes from the old man. He became darker and darker, and it wasn't soon before he saw himself as better than the other 'common' twili. He grew more and more powerful, until he left his house. In search of a new life, a life of conquest, success, and power...
