Re: Unsolved Murder: Mark's Manor
OoC: For those reading the poll, the mystery witness will be revealed all in good time, and is a perfectly good suspect. Thank you, Alti. <3
BiC: "Tracey!" Monroe exclaimed. "I'm glad you could make it! Look, here's the suspects, all lined up already. No one's left the house or my sight since I got here."
After tapping her chin with her magnifying glass once, Tracey nodded. "I got here as quickly as I could. What's the story on the murdered person?"
"It was my sister..." Mark replied lowly, his head hung and his hands grasping his hair.
"I'm... sorry for your loss." Tracey approached with a solemn few steps, seating herself across from him after a moment. "But you're going to all have to cooperate, if we're going to do this the easy way. Now, where did the murder take place? Anyone can answer, as long as it's the truth. The truth shall always be revealed." Even though it was a rather sad time, Tracey seemed to keep a determined attitude. "Justice shall win out."
"It was in my room." Mark shook his head slightly. "No, I mean Mina's room." Anyone could see he was a bit confused.
After a moment, the others nodded. "Right... Mina's room."
"Is it left the way it was?" Tracey asked her next question, already taking mental notes of the way they all acted.
"It is, indeed." Con this time answered, face unreadable.
"I'll be inspecting the room for clues, first." Tracey concluded, deciding that this seemed the best course of action.
"Miss... Tracey?" Mark lifted his head, his overwhelmed eyes searching the new woman. "Please... find out who did it... if you have need of any fingerprints or any DNA examining after you find evidence, please... let me know. I have anything and everything you need in my lab. Anything... to find out who did this. I'll give you whatever you want. If you solve the case, I'll reward you handsomely... I'm going to perform an autopsy of my sister's body..."
"But how do we know you won't do anything to the body?" Selene asked softly, not wanting to accuse Mark by any means, but trying to think logically.
"Is it not enough for you that I had to see my own sister mutilated?!" he screamed out loud, making several people jump. "Is it not enough that I'm currently stained in her blood?! For God's sake, let me take care of her on my own! Have I not been through enough for you?!" Tears streaked his cheeks once more, what little he had left.
Selene shrank back, looking hurt. "I... I'm sorry."
"Of course you can, Mark." Zorlo replied, noticing how unstable the man was currently. "Go ahead. None of us will go with you."
Mark cast one look at Tracey and then nodded, taking the body of Mina down to his lab to perform the autopsy. He would have the results before long. Maybe that would assist this new detective in helping him find the murderer. No matter who it was... Mark would kill them. As he stepped forward, into his study which led to his lab, he failed to notice the tiny dried drops of blood before his door...
Jackie turned to look at Con before turning her attention to Tracey. "So, what now?" she asked. "You want us to all testify, I guess? I don't think we're going anywhere, anyway... you can go ahead and look in the room like Mark suggested, if you want."
Con nodded in agreement. "Monroe here has a good eye on us, don't you, Monroe, old buddy?" he asked in a mock friendly voice. He didn't like the guy already.
Before Monroe could reply, Selene stood up. "Well. I know something that will make everyone feel better while we wait for Miss Tracey to finish her examination of the scene..." Selene made her way to a nearby closet, opening it and fidgiting out a large box, returning to set it among the company. "Let's play Clue!"
