I'd have to say that The Office is the most consistantly funny and strong half-hour comedy on right now. It doesn't work as well in the hour-long format that it had for the first four episodes, so I'm looking forwards to the switch back to half-hour this week. I'm also looking forwards to the second Joss Whedon directed episode, which I believe is this weeks as well (though I'm not 100% sure).

Joss Wheedon's is episode 6 (which Karen is in) I believe, but I also could be wrong.
You bring up a good point in Michael - I find that with him and Dwight, the writers are pushing the line on what is believable or not. But one thing I absolutely love is how they've turned Dwight from one of the comic parts of the show into such a fragile and emotional person (well, up until that last few minutes of 'Money' at least).
