Wow, this is a harder question than I thought. I love animes like One Piece, Bleach, etc., but I also love american shows like Korgoth of Barbaria, South Park (would South Park count?), Venture Bros., etc. Japan specializes in the action department and America rules in the comedy field, but there are exceptions. In the end, I would have to side with Japanese animation, but it was a hard desission.
