Demyx had been wandering the plains for what felt like days but could not have been more than a few hours. Now, finally, he had arrived. The Malice Spire rose into the clouds before him, supposedly secure behinde a worn, rusting gate, and he couldn't help but feel as though the treasure which slept within it was as good as his. He noticed, out of the corner of his eye, a sleeping figure. He couldn't believe his eyes when he noticed the blade which was beside him.

How could he have been so careless? He asked himself, shaking his head in amusement.

He left him to lie there, however. It was foolish to expend his energy on such an idiotic waste of space. He was surprised at how angry he was about all this. He would not be of any use to him. He sat in wait at the foot of the tower. He would not be able to make any progress during the night, even with all of the glowing bugs all around.
