IC: The room was indeed real, the cold stone floor made me shudder when it made contact with my bare feet. The room was dark and dismal, resembling my cell in many ways. I looked to my left and right, but could see nothing but darkness. I wandered blindly in the darkness, hitting the walls and stubbing my toes on the random rocks on the floor. After what seemed like hours of stumbling in the darkness, my eyes adjusted and I was able to see a man standing a few feet away from me.

The man appeared to completely blend into the shadows, I could not tell where the darkness ended and he began.

“Hello Keldar. I trust you are enjoying your stay here at my humble home,” the man said in a dark, cruel tone.

“You bastard,” I said, unable to think of anything better, “why did you trap me here?”

“A simple reason, I am getting old. I should die within months, and I need an heir,” the man said as he pulled out a dart from his pocket.

“And what makes you think I would want to be your heir?” I asked as the man threw the dart into my arm.

A tranquilizer entered my bloodstream and I began to feel lightheaded.

“It is not what you want, my dear boy, it is what I want,” the man said as the world around me turned black.

I woke up strapped to a large chair, a strange old man was brushing a stinging liquid on my back. I could feel the mysterious liquid meld with my skin, and I could hear the man begin chanting something.

My eyes snapped open when I realized what he was saying. The man was applying some sort of binding mark on me, most likely to get me to do the Lord of Shadows biding. I shot a blast of dark magic at the man, but I could tell that my power had significantly decreased. I quickly freed myself from my bindings and began running toward the door, I could see light on the other side.
