OK, a while ago, I just had a really nasty breakup with a girl I met in an online videogame, but I got over it really quick, so just shove that aside.

But there's another girl, who I've known since middle school, and I realize that I've actually had a crush on her for a long time. But I'm afraid she might already be going out with one of my other friends. I've only seen them in a classroom together, and they were only talking, but I don't want to take a risk.

How do I figure out if she's still single without prying too much, and if she is, how do I explain how I feel about her? She's really sweet, and she has the prettiest voice. Seriously, I feel like I'm melting when she says "hi".
