Re: *ROUND 1* C'mon Yall

OOC: Alright, I'm in this thing, at least I think I am *Checks again* Yes I am! For some reason I don't think I'll be able to proceed to the next round...but good luck to everyone! I'll use Essence.

BIC:

Rain pattered among the trees, nothing else could be heard in the forest. All of the animals were hidden inside sanctuaries of tree branches or the many holes that textured the ground. Rivers of mud flowed into one burrow after another, laying misfortune upon the animals that resided there.

Within the dense forest, only one lone squirrel hopped from branch to branch carelessly. It was foolish to scurry during the rain, but the animal tried to scurry to it's own tree to get shelter alone. Rain drops hit it's fur one by one, drenching the squirrel in seconds. The squirrel also spotted a smoking figure, going in another direction, the direction of where the storm had come from. The figure groaned in agony, scarring the squirrel away from it's path in seconds, it now had changed it's mind of where to go.

The figure had pain coursing through it's body with every rain drop, yet it tried to keep it all in so it wouldn't disturb the wildlife that dwelled in the forest. But the flaming figure couldn't hide the flames and smoke that swelled off of it's body, reflecting onto the rivers of mud, turning the forest a shade of orange. The animals that saw the monster, they fled, thinking it was a forest fire that threatened their lives.

When the calming noise of the rain stopped, so did the smoke that fummed off of the monster. The only thing that could be heard was the footsteps when it walked. The wildlife stayed in the shields of branches and dirt, fearing the thing that emerged from the smoke.

In their eyes reflected a deformed figure that haunted their eyes. The only flawless thing that came off of the figure was the clothing, which only looked damp.

It looked female only because it's breasts made a slight bump on the creature's clothing. The whole body looked like a melting candle after it had been lit for a day. It was only keeping the form of a human by the clothes that seemed to mold the candle as it struggled to fall apart. The creature let out another groan of pain as fire began to light from within the creature, showing by the small holes that were melted into it's skin.

The crimson red eyes of the creature rolled up from it's cheek bones to the eye sockets. The eyes were rolled inside of it's head, and it closed it's eyelids to hide the dead eyes it had. The black hair's on it's head began to move back into place. With a flash of flame on all four of it's legs, they revealed human arms and legs with perfect features. Fire crawled from a large hole that showed the creature's beating heart, and began to mold the creature's torso and face.

When the fire melted away back into it's skin, it revealed a perfect girl. She looked tired, like she had aged a few years before the storm had come. Her eyelids opened, her eyes were still rolled into the back of her head, revealing only white. The girl blinked, and a crimson red iris was revealed with alternating shades of red dancing around the circle. Then the girl blinked again, revealing large black pupils that left a thin circle of red left. By then all of the animals had left in fear of the monster.

The girl had a name, Essence Rytori, and she was headed to the city of Hyrule.

--

"Hey Miss, would you like to have a drink with me?" said a man's voice in front of the girl. Essence shook her head kindly.

"No thank you, I'm a minor" the girl said shyly. The man's face droped a little bit, but he still stared as she passed him. Essence examined the men who were sitting near the Hyrule bar as she walked quickly. Each of them appeared too drunk to get back up and walk back to their homes, and they all wanted game. They gawked at every female that passed by, even a five year old girl that walked with her father as they entered the bar.

"Hey pretty, don't go off with that guy..." Essence heard one of the drunks call after the girl, and she heard the front door shut again, showing he had followed the five year old. Essence sighed, feeling sorry for the five year old who had to go in there. Essence just walked out of the area as fast as possible, to get away from the tipsy men who tried to follow her.

A white paper smacked Essence in the face as the wind carried it. The girl grabbed the white disturbance from her face as she brushed some black strands of hair on her pale face.

Attention all fighters, would you like to prove yourself the best?

A tournament will be held on Saturday, sign ups are at Hyrule Castle.

- King Hyrule

Today is Saturday, I think... Essence thought as she tossed the flyer back into the wind and looked up at the castle that loomed over the town, And I have spare time. The girl smirked as she began to walk towards the castle, and it looked even more ominous and dark as she approached. Yet the area around her got better and better, due to all of the fighters that walked near her. No drunks, at least.

Though, it looked like most of the people that walked among the crowds were only here to speculate the fights that would take place in the castle. She could imagine their laughing faces as she would enter the arena. The girl let her hair fall in front of her face, hoping it would look more menacing like that.

Essence pushed herself through the dense crowd that surrounded the large doors into the castle. There were a few people who were up for the challenge. She appeared to be the only female, lucky her. She stepped up into the small group of men who were up to the challenge. Each of the men looked down at her, their faces were filled with confusion that a young girl like Essence would enter, but their eyes were filled with happiness that there was an easy win right there in her body.

The last person to approach after her was a guy who flew down into the group. Then a skinny, tall man began to explain to them what they were going to do in this tournament. It was typical, so Essence didn't pay attention until the end of the man's speech about rules.

"...Follow me, please" said the skinny man as he began to lead the way into the castle. Essence was forced in a single file line as the group began to go into the looming castle in front of them. The man led them through long hallways until he stopped at one hallway with many doors on one side of the hallway.

"Each of you, please enter a different door" said the man in his weak voice. When everyone else had chosen their door, Essence chose the remaining door, the one with hints of red in the wooden door.

The room was pitch black for a few seconds, leaving Essence alone to think. What if she didn't make it? What if she almost died in this? What if she won? They swirled inside of her brain, leaving no question answered when the door opened yet again, sending a beam of light into her eyes. She adjusted her eyes to the light, then she looked again, seeing a completely different room than the one she had entered from. Essence walked out carefully.

Her eyes pictured a large arena, almost like a roman arena. The girl saw three other people looking around too in amazement. Essence couldn't examine anything else when a voice boomed into the room.

"THE FIRST MATCH WILL COMENCE IN… 3... 2...1... GO!!!"
