Love Waits for No One... But Zorlo (Sakume)

OoC: After a very, very, very, excessively long wait, we are proud to present you the next installment of the Zorlo and Selene love affair. Here goes. ^_^

BiC: The Aura Master stood upon the plateau, overlooking the forest that Kurenkento had trained him in since his younger days. Although he wasn't here for anything of that sort. In fact, he had returned for a very different reason entirely. He wasn't here to get back to the roots of his training, or to visit his Master's grave this time. He was here because he had left someone here, and he had returned to visit her, but not just that, he had something he had to ask her.

The plateau overlooked the massive forest, but he could just barely see a house in the distance. He could get there fast enough, but it'd take away from the dramatics of his entrance. Anyway, Zorlo had to formulate what he was going to say. After all, the only thing that had driven him here were the words of a friend. They echoed in his ears ever so loudly now, and he couldn't hold them back. He'd see her soon enough, and by then he'd know what he was going to say.

The words of the fencer's friend resonated again, and he repeated them softly, smiling to himself. He rather enjoyed saying them, since they held a great truth. "Don't put it off, because if you take too long, she'll be gone," he told himself as he leapt from the plateau and started walking towards the cabin in the woods. He knew she was there... or at least he hoped she was there. He just prayed that no other had come along and taken her with him.

The last he'd seen of her were images from the Dome in the room where he watched over her from. He always told himself he'd return soon, and now he was finally doing it. The Dome was covered, and his students wouldn't have noticed he was gone, right? Even if they did, his replacement was a good, hands on guy. Hopefully that would keep the students under wraps, and Kenjii wouldn't make him very dead, that would be bad. Even so, the fencer couldn't worry about that now. He had to get this done first, and then he'd get back to work.

As he waltzed through the forest quietly, he wondered what she was thinking at that moment. Was she waiting for him, or had she given up and gone looking for someone else? She wouldn't have done that. If she felt as strong about him as he felt about her, then she'd certainly be waiting, or so he hoped. He'd be there soon.

Step by step, the cabin became larger and larger, slowly taking form and revealing the lovely garden that Selene had planted. Such lovely flowers, and planted by the most lovely woman in the world, it was only natural, wasn't it? Even so, he walked towards the front door and stood before it smiling. It was now or never. With a slight sigh of happiness, he knocked on the door, waiting and hoping to see Selene's smiling face that greeted him.
