Re: Incarceration (Kiriyama)

Towns sucked. People sucked. Fliers sucked. None of that mattered to Lament, however. After her usual ritual of watching the public executions (Envisioning the ones being beheaded via guillotine as having the appearance of Kric, as always), she stopped at a bar and bought a pint of beer.

The first few times she’d come to the bar, men had tried flirting with her. After several broken bones, by both descriptions no less, the bar patrons learned to avoid her. The bartender was the only one she paid any mind to, and he was the only one allowed to pay mind to her. Any other wandering eyes would be promptly torn out and shoved up less than favorable places.

On this particular day she was mulling over a flier she’d found, wondering if Deceit was playing tricks on her eyes.

Tonight, for one night only! The Diamond Alchemist!
Marvel at the spectacular sights, as he performs miracles, turning Lead into Gold, Stone into Diamond, and Water into Wine!

The performance will last from Sundown to Sunrise in the Town Square, so be quick to arrive before the best places are taken!

Is he really here?” she thought. To doubt his presence would be foolhardy, however. It wasn’t like some random alchemist had killed him and stolen his title. A shiver coursed up her spine. Kric, Diamond Alchemist, transmutation… Those kinds of words brought back terrible images.

“Sundown to sunrise?” she thought aloud. It was already dark outside. Perhaps the show had already started? That’s just what she needed, an audience to watch her castrate, disembowel, and behead her creator (In that order, of course).

Audience or not, it was a once in a lifetime chance. He’d be there, she’d be there… Romantic, in a psychopathic bloodbath kind of way. She paid for her drink and left the bar, knowing full well the direction she’d have to go to get to the town square. After all, that was where the executions were held.

“I feel bad for the people who have to clean that place up,” she said aloud, too ecstatic to keep her thoughts to herself. “It was bloody earlier today, and it’s going to be bloody by tomorrow morning.”

She was so cheerful walking to the square that she almost skipped the whole way. Upon reaching the crowd surrounding the platform in the center of the square, she even avoided her usual habit of elbowing people out of her way. Instead, she slipped between people and made her way to the front of the crowd.
