Never a truer word in this entire thread. Now, if I had to comment on gaia.com, I would say that I'd sooner stick a rusty scapel down into my navel than willingly go there again. I joined up to see just how bad it was after a friend referred me a year or so again, and never have I seen such a dreadful place nor dared go back. There's... what, over a million members and only a handful of mods managing the place? How is that any good? That's asking for a load of trouble, and the amount of account stealings, hackings and everything else that goes on are just signs of dreadful management. Gaia Online, basically, is just a message board/social network/MMORPG/chat room/anything else you can think of that caters to those who enjoy anime, video games, and crappy online role-playing, namely the acne-ridden pre-teens of the weeaboo nation. The main draw is that you get to buy items in a grossly over-inflated fake economy in order to dress up your avatar in anime-style. The time it takes you to earn the gold for a simple shirt (often by spamming and postwhoring, no less) can be used to balance your virtual checkbook, when really it would be much better to just go and buy a real shirt for yourself and find a message board that isn't complete rubbish.

All I'll say is that it sucks, it blows, it's dirt, a colossal waste of precious time ... and I just plain don't like it.
