Well if you don't like the grayness then just set it to 0 when applying diffuse glow or just don't apply diffuse glow at all.

And rantick, that's a very nice outcome. If I were you I'd remove some of the glow over the face of the second render or I'd leave it at one render.
And I'd position the text to the left so it doesn't cover the main render. Still, very nice.
