Well if you knew that a moon s going to crash in 3 days would you rather tell to the guy "Hey, you only have 3 days because the moon is going to crash and kill you" or would you say that you need to go?
At the point in the game when Link and the Salesman talked about that I highly doubt Link would be so selfless and help right away because he wasn't familiar with the situation.
EDIT: MDK is right about the quoting thing though. No full quotes of previous posts so I think you guys should remove them.
