I don't know exactly what to think of that. He knows if the moon has crashed down(thus you reappearing in front of him), so he is still there while time seems to have been rewinded back three days. did he do it? Or does he mean by leaving in three days that he needs to go before the moon crashes?

I think the only explanation is, that Happy Mask Salesman is capable of pulling you out of space and time, when the moon crashes down and place you back. so he also should be psychic to see the future...but that would create a time paradow as the normal link would be there and the pulled-out-of-time link would be there then...
