Re: Kartaikian Stormcloud. [KAR-TAI-KI-AN]

The revival of Kartaikian!

I hope no one minds that I revive this obviously dead topic...it is my character after all, I should be able to.

Here's what you asked for, Ranarath. I think this is what you were looking for, right?

The History:
The origins of the cursed blade are unknown, but it is suggested that the blade was both created and enchanted by the Dark Elves. The blade was held in the possession of ancient natives to the land, who practically worshiped it, believing it was sent down by the gods as a curse, and if it was not appeased then it would lead to drastic results. When the natives were destroyed, the blade was long forgotten in one of their many temple ruins. Myths of it soon reached the ears of Kartaikian, although parts of the myth were wrong; showing the blade as a powerful artifact, not a cursed burden. The moment he touched the blade’s hilt, his very being was separated into two parts (as was the sword).
Most of his time after this point was spent trying to solve the problem, but it seems that one problem always leads to another. As it turned out, only the strongest deepest emotion could break his curse. When his very own father’s life was in danger, he had to literally pull himself together, and work as one body in order to save him. Although usually he hates his father, deep down inside he still loves him, like any son should. After mastering the blades magic, he was able to use its effects at will.

The Technique:
At any given time in battle, or otherwise, given somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds to concentrate, Kartaikian can separate his body (and his sword automatically splits down the center) into two parts (no, he doesn’t separate down the center; both halves are almost identical to his normal self, and to each other, except that one is black while the other is white).
This technique gives him the ability to be in two places at once, obviously an advantage in battle and otherwise. Other then each half being half the strength/stamina/weight, they of course share the same mind and skills. He can use this to attack from different angles, surrounding his foe, or to attack multiple foes. There are other uses to this as well, but none practical for battle.
