Actually, a friend of mine has Vista on his brand new laptop. Things are so unstable compared to XP it isn't even funny.

Trying to get the laptop's built-in card reader to read an SD card crashes Vista. That's probably the worst thing, right there. There's a ton of programs we were trying to use that ran fine in XP, that would run poorly or outright fail in Vista. (Or crash Vista.)

Performance-wise, things were a mixed bag. Some programs would take forever to load in Vista, but then would run fine afterwards.

The "Show Desktop" command is pretty retarded: Hitting it will show your desktop, but hide all of your desktop widgets. :/

Frankly, I'm staying away from it solely because of all the DRM "features" integrated into it, so all of these other problems are just icing on the "I'm sticking with XP Pro"-cake.
