Fable 2

Fable 2 is going to be soooo cool! I am buying an Xbox 360, just for that game. I mean, its like Zelda, with the cool Action RPG thing going on, but you can be evil and slaughter an entire town, one thing that I always wished I could do in Zelda.

On July 6, 2006 Lionhead's Sam Van Tilburgh gave a brief update of the game's progress on the company's website:

Albion has seen some significant changes, both to its scenery and characters
Some "rather cool" twists have been promised.
From the trailer, early blunderbuss firearms will appear in the game.
The game will be a bit more mature in content than Fable.
There is a new woods region that is the size of all of the original woodland regions combined.
The "Good or Evil" element will be much more prevalent in Fable 2.
On September 29, 2006 Lionhead's Peter Moleyneux gave a preview of Fable 2 at X06:

The Hero starts as a street urchin.
The player will be able to choose his or her character's gender. Their bodies will mature accordingly as they age or level up in experience.
Property can now be properly invested in, and you will also be able to buy things like castles or even catacombs.
It is now possible to have children, whether you are playing as a female or a male.
The designer wants to reproduce a theme of unconditional love in your children.
The player can plant an acorn into the ground and watch it grow into an oak tree.
The player can affect the future of a camp by choosing to finance it or slay everyone inside.
The Hero's child is affected by the Hero's actions. This means that if the Hero is evil, his child will be too.
Images found online taken from X06 show a new area called Bloodstone which appears to be a coastal dock-style area for ships.
Other images from X06 also hint heavily at pirates making an appearance and indicate that the "whores" of Albion, as named in the image, will also reappear in Fable 2.
The improved combat system will mean that the way the hero swings his sword changes according to proximity of walls, allies, and enemies.
The game might have a multiplayer portion.
You will now be able to take jobs as such as barman,or a farmer.
Your character will age, as the game takes place over 50 years
The Hero will be able to have a companion, most likely a dog.

You know I really hope they make it for PC as I tend to avoid these sorts of games for the 360 but alas if they decide to make it 360 exclusive, i'll the guy in the front of the line when this comes out.

They might make it for PC. I mean, they did for the first one.

From the description, it sounds good, though their lack of revealing anything else about it and showing a non-realistic trailer keeps me wary.

I have been looking forward to this game ever before i became hooked on the first and went to my friends every day to play it. It will rock, Assuredly.

Hopefully it's not as short as the first one...

Well they hyped up the first one a hell of a lot, and it turned out a lot less then they said it would be (even with the lost chapters thingy) ((dont get me wrong, i love fable to bits ))
i just hope they actually put the things they say they will in it, dont care if it takes another year, if it can keep me hooked for at least 100 hours its good

Yeah, I agree about how short it was... The developer promised not to overhype it this time. (probably why we haven't heard much about it yet.)

hope Fable 2 isnt as short as the first one. should be cool to see what its like

This is definitely something I have to look forward to. Not my most anticipated game on the 360 (Blue Dragon takes that spot) but I'll definitely get it when it comes out.

EDIT: Gamespot says it's due sometime this year. I don't think you can find anything more specific than that and still be accurate.

dont trust developer on these kind of things
i have my hopes up, but i dont expect them to put everything they say in it, if they do, pleasant surprise, if they dont, meh

I fell in love with the first one despite its shortness and lack of insertion of promised content, but I am the type of guy that looks beyond hype. But thats just me. Cant wait for this one!

As everyone who knows me knows, I am not fond of RPGs, as a rule of the thumb. However, this game looks like it could have the potential to be great fun. I liked the first one enough, but it was far too short and small. I can only presume the Xbox 360 one will be longer and larger.

Great idea i loved the first one was such an amzing game the graphic's were alright also.

Haven't played the first one, but I'm gonna get it. It's on my top 5 list, along with Halo 3, Banjo-3, Conker's Badder Fur Day (rumors), and The Outfit 2.
