Weapon: A knife that holds special powers, given to her by Evanna. The blade is made of pure silver and the handle is embedded with sacred jewels and ancient symbols. It is small, barely 10 inches long, but if used correctly quite powerful.

Strengths: Evelyn’s strength lies mostly with her agility. When in battle she will use her speed for her advantage. If the need ever comes to it she will use her demon powers, although she would only use them as a last resort.

Weakness: Evelyn's weakness lies with her offense. She isn’t a very good full-on battler, she’d rather play the defensive part, tire out her enemy and strike at the right moment. Also, whenever she calls upon her demonic powers, she is left very, very weak afterwards, hence why she only uses them as a last resort.

Skills/Magic:

Mind Control- This skill allows Evelyn to briefly control of her opponents minds. It rarely ever fails, and once she is in control she can make her opponent do anything she pleases. However, when this technique is used, she, per say, is no longer in her own body, which leaves it defenseless.

Darkness Clone- In this skill Evelyn can call upon her demonic powers to create a clone out of herself. The clones are an exact replica, except that they do not think on their own and simply take orders from their creator. Albeit powerful, the clone isn’t that difficult to destroy if the opponent is able to hit it a few times. With just a few strong hits the clone will disperse.

Evelyn is also able to slightly alter the feelings of others. For example, if they are feeling sad or angry, she can help them feel a tad better, and if they accept her help she can modify their mood completely.

The last thing Evelyn can do doesn’t specifically have a name because she cannot control the coming and going of it. When she becomes extremely angry, or whenever she is overwhelmed by negativity, she goes into a state that could be described as ‘berserker mode’. The demon side of her manages to fully overtake her body and mind, and she becomes incredibly powerful. Her eyes turn into a dull red colour, and when she speaks a deeper voice is mixed in with her normal melodious one.
She has no control over how long she is in this state, it could last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, but she always loses consciousness whenever she leaves that state.

Personality: Evelyn’s personality is hard to define. She may act a bit bipolar at times, for she extremely in tune with the emotions of her surroundings. For example, if the weather is gloomy, her mood will match it. If the weather is bright and sunny, etc. etc.
Along with being able to sense the emotions of the environment around her, she is also in tune with the emotions of the beings around her. For this reason alone she attempts to keep to herself so others don’t judge her. She has been able to slightly control her emotions so she can ‘fit in’ better, but at times it just all gets too overwhelming and she cannot help the way she acts.

She often comes across as edgy and obnoxious, but if someone is able to break through that shell they will find out the way she really is, which so far is unknown.

Biography: The shadowed figured grinned maliciously as he looked down upon the sleeping woman. Hovering above her the figure recited ancient words, the smirk never leaving its face as the creature began to grow inside the woman.

Sarah Hyde, a 29-year-old wife, was nine months pregnant with her beloved husband’s child. After years of trying to have kids, and after countless failures, they had finally done it. Sarah was pregnant, and was going to give birth soon.
On a chilly October morning Sarah went into labor. Tom, her husband, took her to the doctor’s and the birth couldn’t have gone any smoother. The child, a girl, was a healthy nine pounds and seemed to be completely normal. This was what Sarah was told before she ever saw what she had given birth to. When the doctors gave Sarah her new daughter, she nearly fainted at the sight.
The baby had large cat ears instead of normal human ones, along with a long tail. Sarah was slightly disturbed by the appearance of her daughter, but after years of wanting a child she gladly accepted this one as her own.
The child was named Evelyn Lee Hyde. Tom was also surprised by the looks of his daughter, but like Sarah he was just grateful that Evelyn was healthy and that he finally had a kid.
A few years went by and Evelyn was growing like any normal child, with the exception of her looks, of course. She attended the village’s school and interacted well with the village children; her strange ears and tail seemed to interest them rather than frighten them. Thankfully for this Evelyn had an adequate amount of friends and wasn’t treated like an outcast like her parents had feared she would be.

When Evelyn turned seven her parents engaged themselves in a dispute, and out of nowhere she began to yell as well. Sarah became angry and told her to go to her room, and Evelyn became just as mad and ignored what her mother had said. This only caused Sarah to lose her patience, and at that precise moment Evelyn burst into tears. She fell to her knees and begged her mother to stop being so angry; that she could feel the anger just as well and that it was hurting her. Her parents calmed down as much as they could and tried to come up with a reasonable explanation. Alas, no conclusion was reached, so they decided to observe Evelyn closely for the next few days. They noticed that her emotions changed depending on her surroundings, and made a note to always attempt to keep a calm and happy atmosphere when she was around.

As the days passed she began to acknowledge the powers she had, and began to misuse them. She discovered her ability of reading other’s thoughts and emotions, and as she learned more and more about it she even managed to find her Mind Control skill. Of course, to a child this was highly alluring, so she’d do it often, and that caused problems.

One afternoon, shortly after her tenth birthday, Evelyn was outside playing by a creek when she began to feel slightly strange. Her muscles ached and her head was pounding, She ran back to her house, tears streaming down her rosy cheeks, and burst through the door screaming for her mother. Sarah immediately came to see what the matter was, but Evelyn just kept repeating over and over that ‘it hurts’. When Sarah asked her what it was that was hurting, Evelyn simply shook her head over and over and became angry. At that point Evelyn’s usually pale green eyes turned to a dull red colour, and she would not respond when Sarah was attempting to grasp her attention. At one point Sarah got so frustrated that she went to slap Evelyn to bring her out of her trance, but as her hand came down, Evelyn grabbed Sarah’s arm with amazing speed. She looked up from the floor to stare into Sarah’s eyes, and a wicked grin spread across her face as Evelyn snapped Sarah’s arm in two. Crying out in pain Sarah fell backwards, and the fear and ache that Sarah’s body was emitting was intoxicating to Evelyn, fueling her power. She then killed Sarah by plunging her hand straight into her chest and ripping out her heart as a prize.
Tom came home to a bloody scene, and also suffered a similar death.
A few hours after she had killed off her parents, Evelyn passed out. When she awoke she had no memory of what had happened, but the images of her parents faces as she mercilessly killed them off lingered in her mind. She broke down into a mess of tears, and apologized over and over to her parents’ bodies.
A couple of days went by and Evelyn stayed in the same spot, next to her parents, without moving or bothering to clean the blood off of herself.
Ms. Thompson, her teacher, became worried about Evelyn’s continuous absences and went to find out why she’d been missing school, to find the unimaginable. She ran off and went to the leader of the village. When Evelyn was questioned about what had happened, all that she could manage to say was that ‘she hadn’t meant to’ and that ‘she was sorry’.
Execution was the only thing they could do in this situation, so the leader locked her up in a solitary cottage. Evelyn wasn’t still completely aware of the death that was to be brought upon her, but she knew enough to realize that something bad was about to happen. Morning was rapidly approaching, and Evelyn heard someone walking towards the cottage. She managed to read his thoughts and knew that he was coming to get her so they could kill her. Acting on impulse in fear of her life, she took control of the man’s mind, had him open the cottage door, and then she returned to her own body. As the man came to his senses she bolted out of the cottage and ran straight to the woods. She kept running until nightfall, in fear that the villagers would be able to find her.

For a few days Evelyn wandered around miserably without food or water, until she came upon a small town, where exhaustion finally overtook her body and she passed out.

When she awoke she was wrapped up in blankets and next to a warm fire. She immediately became wary for she did not know where she was, and found an older lady knitting on a rocking chair not too far off. The lady, Evanna was her name, had found her unconscious and had taken her in. After Evelyn tried to explain to her that she was dangerous, Evanna merely nodded and informed her that she knew what she was and that she could help her control and possibly expand her powers. Evanna was an experienced sorceress, and had been able to immediately recognize Evelyn’s potential.

The years went by and Evanna had taught Evelyn how to push her demonic part aside for the most part so another incident didn’t occur. She advised Evelyn to steer clear of strong feelings of anger, for that was what triggered the awakening of her demonic side, although that side of her could take anywhere from a few days to a few years to fully awaken.

Evelyn’s 16th birthday came and she was working on a technique that Evanna had spoken of. The thought of being able to create a clone out of herself appealed to her, and after hard hours of training she had managed to master the technique. Along with mastering this skill Evelyn had also been working on her agility as well as her speed, and these two attributes had improved greatly.

When she turned 18 Evelyn decided that she wanted to go out and explore the world. Her main reason was really that she wanted to get away from people, not necessarily Evanna, because she still feared of another accident happening. As she parted Evanna gave her an enchanted blade for protection. Evanna explained that the blade had been running in her family for ages and that it held special qualities to it. She also informed her that if the wielder of the blade wasn’t pure of heart that the blade would only work against them, but if the wielder was pure of heart that it would be a great aid in times of need. Evelyn thanked her and hugged her good-bye, and left the small town.

In her travels she did encounter a few challenges, but in none of the fights did she dare to use the blade. She was afraid that she wasn’t pure of heart and that the blade would only work against her.


After a year or so of traveling without meaning, Evelyn decided to go off in search of where she really came from. She knew that it was impossible for two humans give birth to whatever she was, and she was curious as to how that had happened. She is still in search of answers today.
