I'd like TP to have at least one trading sequence and more places to spend rupees. I liked it when you needed to spend all that money to build the bridge and take over the store in Hyrule Town but more of these rupee-spending-activities would've been welcome.
The armor, for instance, should have costed thousands of rupees instead of the pathetic 256 or something.. it defeats the purpose of the malo store having great prices though.. but it could have been sold elsewhere.

I agree with these comments, I never really missed the instruments either. I would've missed playing music in some way but they delivered in this area by introducing howling and playing that grass with the A button (like in the old-school Zeldas), you even got a tiny instrument - or whatever it was - to call your horse.
Having the ocarina/baton and playing notes has only been done in 3 out of many Zelda games, so I haven't really seen it as a standard in Zelda.
