Child Link

If im not mistaken, wasnt there something floating around before the release of TP that there would be a cutscene that showed Link as a child? Im at the very final boss battle with you know who and i have yet to see anything.
Does anybody know what thats all about? Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

Re: Child Link

Yeah...I don't want to be too spoilerific, but that was pretty much a complete hoax.

Though (***SPOILERS***) there is a very convincing argument that the Skeletor Mentor that teaches you special moves is the Hero of Time (aka Link from OoT). That would mean you see "Link" old--really really old. Dead, actually.

Re: Child Link

The words 'my son' could easily have meant successor, or student.

Link's dad died as a soldier in the war... That could be him. His armor does look pretty noble.

Please use better grammar. That is very hard to read.

Re: Child Link

Link only learns of the skills after a White Wolf jumps for your head. This makes an assumption that what goes on when learning these Hidden Skills is just a remembrance of the skills the Hero was bestowed upon.

I didn't think of it that way. I don't know if it true but it would be pretty cool if the hero of time was the dead dude.

That's what I immediately assumed. A little quote about how he endured the hero's trials in the past, or something of that nature brought me to that train if thought.

Perhaps he's just one character who could be whoever you imagine him to be. Hero of Time sounds like the winner though.

Anyways, no. There are no scenes of Link as a child in Twilight Princess.

Re: Child Link

it's not the prupose of this topic but i strongly believe that the skeletal mentor is the hero of time. he says he only regrets not passing on his teachings which makes sense cuz he left hyrule to go to termina. "my son" most likely means a sort of reincarnation not actually father and son.

no there is no child link cutscene
